Do you happen to have the number on how much isk that all those losses generated via insurance?
Broken down for PVP and PVE please. Even better if you can also do it pro anno, with a manual breakpoint at the introduction of incursions.
Btw where do the concord (and customs and gate/sentry guns) kills fit in that? Its a kill by PVE, but triggered by unsanctioned pvp or criminal/standing status. Would be interesting to see those grouped up and filtered out in a colums of their own. |

it is a mystery Well, those numbers are over the course of 4 years, part of which was the nano age. A bit more current numbers can be found on eve-kill - http://www.eve-kill.net/?a=top20 - and those reflect my current impression of predominant fleets in space: Drake fleets for large BC-based fleets, Abaddons for large BS-based fleets, Hurricanes for small/solo gank stuff, and Tengu for the wealthy ones. I'm a bit confused about the Tempest there, but I'd attribute that to PL's herocats.
Maybe we can get some current numbers from CCP? Weapons and ships used this year?
(Final blow is a bit tricky, as high RoF skews that a lot :-)) |

A Titan costing 47 billion ISK to build is averaging 477 kills before dying, while costing just 521 times as much as a battleship. What's the average ratio of kills to losses for battleships, I wonder?
The ratios need to be strongly logarithmic to maintain balance. |

Anyway very nice dev blog. Surprised it's only 103,393 Mining Barges that got blown up.
As for people surprised by the high NPC kills in high sec, people get over-confident. 'Ahh, I can do this mission with my eyes closed', or they run in with the wrong resist. |

Prove that pvp isn't there where it should be the strongest, and that a lot of people's argument "high sec=reward with no risk" is empty of sense and propaganda for little jerks.
Then think about average player, corp, alliance income in high sec
Then think about average low/null sec player, corp, alliance income
Only thing I see in those numbers is that something is fundamentally wrong or not working has intended because of players driven content - read in this comment "jerks who know how to counter game mechanics in high sec and refuse to put on the line their wealth for player driven content"
Another like low/null player driven content not working properly, not has intended or stagnation because of players inability to rework their own null sec/low sec content, rules, or methods. Changes are needed so it becomes less safer but also less tedious/boring.
Drastic changes are needed to put players driven content on the right path because has long has is easier to counter mechanics than follow them to get the KM's doses, that player driven content will always privilege the easiest way to get it. |
