A very strange problem has started occurring on my pc since i came back from a 2 month break from Eve in January.
Before the break, i had no problems running up to 3 clients at a time but since i've come back i can only run one client. If i load a second or third client, within 2 to 70 minutes the pc shuts down instantly for about four seconds and then restarts itself. There are no error warnings or BSOD screens. The only thing in the event log is the "Pc was turned off improperly" notification.
I've checked the Gfx card management software and there are no overheating issues. I've taken the pc apart and there is no damage visible anywhere. I can run one client while several other programs are running without any issue but when the second client is started, it's only a matter of time until the pc shuts down.

Has anyone experienced this type of problem since November? You have been getting BSOD's when your computer shuts down then restarts.
Go here to see how to stop it, and when you get the BSOD copy down the error, posting that here might help as well. |

Thanks for the tip MicDeath. I did as you said but when the pc crashed, there was no BSOD, just a sudden and complete shutdown followed by a 4 second gap and then the pc just restarted itself.
I checked the motherboard management program and the GFX card Management program. While triple boxing with a web browser open and a media player running, the gfx card only hit 53C, the system temp only hit 35C, the cpu hit 57C and only 5gb out of 16gb ram was in use. |

For the sake of ruling things out, are you able to swap out the Power Supply Unit with another? |

Unfortunately i don't have that option. I'm guessing i'll have to buy a new one and hope that the problem is sorted. From everything i've seen, it seems to be pointing towards the psu. |

I had a problem that sounds exactly the same as yours, and it was one of my graphics cards that was the culprit. getting it RMAd for a new one solved the problem. This was... nearly 3 years ago, though the same graphics card that I use currently.
Don't post on the forums, devs don't read it. Send GMs your questions with support tickets. Don't be silent.

Ok, there's been only one time this weekend where it crashed and gave a bsod.
BSOD
I don't honestly know if this was related to what's happening as it happened after i had logged off Eve and it seems so different when it crashes the normal way. The graphics drivers are up to date as well. |

e22w7x64.sys is a Gigabit Ethernet Controller Driver.
1st step would be to reinstall the most upto date LAN drivers from your motherboard manufacturers www.
If your unsure of what model motherboard you have and don't want to take the side of your pc off to look.. download cupid which has a tab for motherboard.
Once drivers are updated and if you still have the problem, take a look at device manager and see if the LAN card is sharing resources (IRQ) with other devices.
If so, you need to free up some IRQ's (most modern pcs really don't have this problem). Best route to do this is to enter BIOS when pc 1st turns on and disable devices you don't use.. Old printer ports, com ports etc
