Hello all,
Don't get me wrong, I love the fact that I can loot exotic dancers. However, i am wondering why people are actually buying those (including all other living stock) from the market. There are always purchase orders...
What can you do with living stock in the game?
Are they used to populate moon base or something similar?
Thanks... |

People put strange things in the cargo hold of their PvP ships to amuse whoever gets the killmail.
The item "Pillaging 101" is one of my favourites, but exotic dancers are by far the most popular choise. |

Also, keep in mind that some of the 'useless trade goods' can be bought by NPCs (any market order of more then 90 days is NPC).

Other than selling, I don't think there's an actual use for things like Exotic Dancers or Fedo's or what not. As for the why, I can only speak for myself: I always try to have something amusing in my cargo in the event that I get killed. Makes for a more interesting kill mail.

Exotic Dancers, Corpses and occasionally Booze and Smokes seem to be the most common items to be put into cargo holds as good luck charms.

If I need to tell you what to do with exotic dancers you have more problems than I can solve here in these forums. However a bottle of viagra might help you come up with an answer. |

We're stockpiling them so we can throw parties when CCP enhances the Captain's Quarters enough so they can actually dance.

There are several reasons for 'trade goods' being in-game:
1) Some of the items are used when manufacturing certain items.
2) Roleplay etc. Some people like to fill their ships with tobacco, slaves, dancers, alcohol etc.
3) Some missions require certain trade goods to complete them. These missions can be completed quicker, or more easily, by buying the trade goods required on the regional market or on contracts.
4) On the markets at NPC stations certain corps will buy certain 'trade goods' at a price based on availability. ISK can be made by hoarding, or more commonly by purchasing, these goods and selling them when the price is at its highest point. For example the Sisters of EVE buy Vitoc, a drug used by the Amarrian scum slave traders to subjugate & control the Minmatar populace.
