So I finally decided to do the COSMOS missions. I've just been going down the list and I come across a "The Scope" corp agent. I cannot access this agents missions as I apparently have -8.07 real standing with The Scope and I have no idea how this could be.
I am wondering how this far negative standings even happened?
I've tried searching around but couldn't find anything but I may just be searching the wrong terms ><
This character has stayed in Gallente space nearly it's entire life and has shot Serpentis a great majority of the time when ratting or missioning (I abandon any empire missions so as not to push my caldari/amarr standings even further down).
My Gallente Federation faction real standings are at 7.39, and most Gallente corp standings are between 5 and 9.80. I also have SoE faction up to 7.75. (all real standings).
I have done FW for Gallente a few times on/off as well, but The Scope is listed as a Gallente corporation.
Nothing shows up for transactions for The Scope either.
Thanks ahead of time for any help on how this could have happened!
I don't play all too often anymore due to my terrible internet connection and when I do I only do something like one or two missions if I even mission... So I want to make sure something like this doesn't happen again in the future as it will take me weeks to get the standings up to continue the COSMOS missions. |

I have terrible standings with my own corp due to this.

Ah, I did not know that.
Just took a quick look at my killboard and it seems a lot of the non-player corp kills I have are against The Scope though. I guess a lot of people get dropped into that corp by default when leaving a player corp heh.
That probably explains it. Thank you for the quick reply! |

Scope is one of the more active non-player corps that actually put pvp fleets together and go do stuff. If I recall, Anslo use to do it a lot. Chances are if you encountered one of his fleets and killed a lot of them, then you tanked your standings towards Scope. Only way to fix it is to run L1 missions for Scope. A lot of L1 missions. |

Social, Diplomacy & Connections should also be trained if you want to do it a bit faster.

No! Find a station with a storyline agent for The Scope and a level 4 Gallente agent very nearby. I would choose a distribution agent, but you could also run security missions for the ISK.
Every 16 missions, run the storyline with the storyline agent for The Scope and you will be in good standings very soon.
Why?

This means you have standings for all Gallente agents other than FW, Cosmos and datacore agents. Use it to build up standings with The Scope.

It would be faster using the level 1 agents. Because then each mission he completes improves his standings with Scope, and then if he has a Scope storyline agent near by, he can get a bigger increase every 16 missions with the storyline agent. Not to mention you can burn through L1 missions a lot faster than L4s. |

So you are suggesting that one can gain standings faster with a corp by running level 1 missions than running level 4? I suggest you try that.

Actually the level 3 missions are the best for standing gains compared to time spent.

I have. Once took my standing with Amarr Navy up to 8.0 from 0 in one weekend by grinding in Youl.
The system he wants for running Scope agents is Yiratal.

I think you made it harder than need be. I will be brief.
Run 16 combat missions and storyline all for the same corporation. Do this for level 1-3. Make sure they are all security missions. Then run 16 level 4 distribution missions and a storyline all for the same corporation. (Having a storyline agent that is the same target corporation is key here)
Be sure to record both the mission times and standings gains for comparison.
On Average, a level 4 story line grants more than 2 times standing increses than a level 3 storyline. This includes the gains from the 16 missions leading up to the storyline! Therefore, unless you can run 32 level 3 security missions in the time it takes to run just 16 distribution missions, you are not being your most efficient.
Doing level 1 missions beyond having qualified for higher level agents is self mutilation. Sorry about your weekend.

If the choice is between having 4x L1s or 1xL4, then it is better do the four L1 agents as you will A) get more storylines, and B) more gains because you are doing more missions.
So yeah, it wasn't a waste of a weekend. |
