This game does NOT provide a string of quests to lead you through to max level and then PVE raids, like other MMO's. As you've noticed, the tutorial stuff is brief, and then nothing; you're supposed to cook up your own entertainment, and that's difficult. So my recommendation is to put some effort into finding a good corporation to join, because they, as a group, will likely have goals and organized fights, and those can be your entertainment, so you don't have to invent your own.
This game also has very weak PVE; it's just a bunch of repetitive missions or boring mining, and it's mostly a not-even-disguised grind for money. So you can PVP, which is where the game shines. So my second recommendation is to get into PVP, or as the poster above put it, shoot someone in the face. |

Hey, there are some fun things to do in frigates without guns in dangerous space. You gotta be a little weird to think it's fun thouh

Scouting is fun. My noob out in lowsec usually scouts for a friend I hang out there with and he has 15 kills that I have scouted and provided cloaked warp-ins for. The assist is almost as sweet as the kill.

Yes, you should shoot someone. However, you should also go out and make a friend. Or many friends (join a corporation). EVE is very dull when you play alone, especially when you are new and don't know what all the possibilities are.

^^ That.
Drop in to any of the player channels listed in people's forum signatures and just strike up a conversation or asking for advice... or ask if you can "tag along" (a lot of us roam around the game doing whatever, usually looking for fights or making money).
Establishing connections and referrals with other players can open up opportunities and gameplay either immediately or down the line.

btw Azda, tell your corpmates that the bait venture should actually be mining, just sitting in the top belt when there's a bunch of ye + one or two jumps over is a bit obvious

Eve is intentionally a game about player created content. What that means is that you either need to make your own content or hook up with some people that do. You can join a player corp or get in some in game channels and make friends.
If you just want action now there is no queueable PvP in this game and that is by design. The closest that I can think of that you can get to that is roaming with twitch streamers or NPSI groups. If isk is a problem you can either start looking into a way make some in game or buy a PLEX and sell it in game you'll have more than enough isk to buy cheap ships and PvP for a long while. |
