So.... You are supposed to hack the remote defense grid that rewires one of the turrets. Should you fail a message warns you that additional turrets will appear unless you manage to suppress them in 45 secs.... I DID hack the remote defense grid in less than 25 secs... I rewired the turret and yet the additional turrets spawned and start shooting at me?
Is that working as intended or?

The message that I got after hacking the remote defense grid was that one of the sentries has been successfully wired and that the rest are turning against it blah blah blah I should help it....
The thing is while I was making my way to the repair tower the additional sentry guns spawned which makes no sense to me. If when you fail the defense grid you get a message saying: You have 45 secs to suppress them. I assume a second attempt within the time limit should stop them. Expecting to hack both the grid and the tower within 45 is illogical imo :p
What do you think? Works as intended? |

It can be solo'd. Most likely what is happening is that the "little sentry that could" is being killed before you can help it with the repair tower. Then the sentries turn their attention to you.
Failing certain hacks in the Superior Sleeper Cache makes it harder. |

well not only it can be soloed but it can be done in a frigate too (theoretically).
Also what is the point of giving me a message that says I have 45 seconds to suppress additional sentry guns if they are going to appear anyway even if I succeed on a second hack within the time limit?
And lastly. No, the additional sentries targeted me straight away as I was making my way to the repair station. Of course I had to warp out (and even if there were a group of a explorers one by one would have haul ass since you are 1-3 shots from the sentries combined dps in a cruiser), so when I came back the rewired sentry was dead as expected.
My point is the message upon failing the defense grid. Don't tell me I have 45 seconds to suppress additional defense sentries if they are going to appear regardless of me attempting a second hack within 45 secs. There is nothing else around to hack apart from the repair station. So when you fail to hack the defense grid my reasoning is that my second chance lies by attempting a second successful hack on the same grid! Am I crazy? |

Did the spawned sentries have good tracking? Did you use prop mod. Last room (the archive) have also remote defence grid unit. When hacked, sentries do not deactivates but lose part of tracking (they become crosseyed). Superior sites don't forgive mistakes. I did few and still don't know everything about them.

Yup! The additional sentries insta-locked me (or anyway within 1-2 secs) and shot me to half of my EHP (20+k) while I was MWD to the repair station. Remember I finished the 2nd hack within 20 secs so I was well on my way to hack the repair station when the the 45secs mark was reached apparently. I am not sure what a "prop mod" is... Yes I am well aware of the 3rd room and its mechanics (although it is somewhat irrelevant). And I agree I have done more than a few superiors and that last room is too risky and unclear to deal with... |

Maybe there was additional structure to hack beside remote defence grid unit? I didn't fail sentry room hacks so i don't know how it looks like. In "archive" room remote defence grid unit works only after the sentries spawn.

And I agree I have done more than a few superiors and that last room is too risky and unclear to deal with... From my observation it's either fast, agile frigate or super tanky Nestor. To be safe, super tanky nestor. Risk is not worth in frigate.

I also failed hacking the reroute thingy, got 12ish additional sentries spawn, BUT was able to kill the sentries using a -Stratios-. It required some serious manual piloting tho (and some warpouts). Took me a total of 2 hrs to clear solo.
The last room, never done it. Unless there is some way to disable the colossal wave I'm skipping it.

Happened the same to me once in a Helios.
I got a 40+ seconds to do something about incoming spawn of sentryes, or something like that.
I cant remember exact message in local.
After hacking the grid on second atempt sentryes instapoped the frigate, so I really dont know what to say except that Superior
will not allways give you a second chance. Like Mines room as example.
But, after they released them on TQ, something interesting happened.
One time I failed remote reroute hack in Solar room, ignored the message in local ( altough you failed the hack nearby rift is redirected ).
The rift warped me to Sentry room, but I was coming from the direction of Plasma chambers and landed directly above Hyperfluct Generator. After landing all sentryes that are allways there in room and all those bonus ones activated and they start to target you. Spammed the warp to random celestial and I got away.
Usually I have an alt that is sitting in the site in a shuttle or something if I need to reship or whatever and in that case the first warp in after you open the entrance was the Sentry room so all those sentryes ignored the alt in a shuttle and after a minute they despawned. All of them.
Or, they killed the Shuttle after I warped off but despawned after that.
I cant recall what was from 2 examples above but anyway in the end the room was clear of sentryes.
After completing Mines and Solar room I was able to hack all the loot storages without hacking Remote defence grid nor Sentry repair.
Since that time I never failed the hack so I cant say if that is one more way to complete the Sentry room or that was a bug and is fixed. But if someone want to test it...
