I would like to get some feedback from people about their Hulk setups, please only setups with Strips 2, and only those which can tank ALL spawns of certain race (eg: no 'this setup can tank 2cruisers and 3 frigs spawn, but not triple bs' etc). Also preferably setups which can at least keep one mining laser upgrade if possible.
I will update this post with setups, for the use of others in the community as well.
Guritas Sansha Blood (prolly same as Sansha) Serpentis Angels
I think that sums up all 0.0 rats, unless I forgot some.
And please! only verified setups which can tank+mine indefintly!!
PS: I tried the Gistii a-type small booster with 2 hardeners for Guritas, and even with pdu OR shield amp (cant fit both), and it DOESNT tank indefintly for all spawns, so I would personally like suggestions for Guritas.

It's not possible to setup a Hulk to tank all spawns. 2 or more hulks with shield maint drones maybe. But a single hulk, nope not possible.

Its pretty simple, Gistii and 2X hardeners. For Guristas I would say fit 2X Kinetic, and just find spawns that only deal Kinetic. Beyond that you cant fit it much better, so the only options are increase youre shield skills, or find smaller spawns. One of the little tricks Ive found as cheesy as it sounds, is to orbit youre can at about 750m. Ive found it does decrease the incoming dmg a pretty noticeable amount.

Thanks for the replies, its sad that the ship cant tank all spawns.. whats the purpose CCP gave the Hulk such a good resistances, if it cant tank all kinds of spawns?

I tried that, and the rats still were doing exactly same damage (bships firing jug torps, frigs firing rails I think).
How exactly did it help in your case? can you list the rats on which it works? cause in my experience, changing speed/direction doesnt help at all against missiles, not in noticeable amount at least (except MWD'ing Deimos toward torp raven ). ------------------ Save Tranquility!  |

Orbiting in a hulk wont do anything against missiles since they don't track, but it may decrease damage from larger npc ship guns (BS maybe cruiser) the frig guns however have superior tracking, which easily compensate.
