is this out yet - because it's been stuck here for ages - even an alpha version would be something to test drive!
For posting an idea into F&I:
come up with idea, try and think how people could abuse this, try to fix your idea - loop the process until you can't see how it could be abused, then post to the forums to let us figure out how to abuse it.....
If your idea can be abused, it WILL be.

Perhaps a "compare fitting" tool, where one could see the differences across the stats between the currently active ship and a saved ship fitting.
Either with a "side-by-side" view like
Fit 1 Fit 2 EHP 20k 23k DPS 305 256
Or a simple "delta" view like
Fit 1 (Delta from Fit 2) EHP 20'153 (-3'101) DPS 305 (+49) |

Can I haz capacitor simulation with / without MWD in pretty much the same way I do it now (eg: by disabling the module) YET still taking my -15% total capacity into account? If I want a simulation of what would happen if the module wasn't there, I'll simply drag the MWD out of the fitting window.
This ONLY for modules that modify total cap; for example disabling a sensor dampener would not only show the relevant decrease in sensor strength but also the effect it has on your capacitor.
Don't know if I explained it properly, but I hope you get the general idea. With MWD, there is a difference between having the module Active, Not active but fitted, or not installed at all. That's three states, whilst the current fitting window only allows simulation of either installed & running, or not installed at all.
Second remark. Some ships (Tornado, Stealth Bomber) offer fitting bonuses such as -95% CPU / PG usage. When hovering over a torpedo launcher, I see I'm 800 PG short; although when I drag the module in my ship turns out it only uses 80 PG so I'm good after all.
Third remark. Can I see the effect of a rig (for example, the added hitpoints, the effect on velocity, Powergrid which may or may not be sufficient) by dragging it into a rig slot, and then be presented a choice if I want to go through with installing it yes or no? (as you can tell, I cook up my fits in-game, not using EFT )
Another one; though certainly not a deal breaker... some weapons have godawful reload times (rapid launchers come to mind) that severely impact DPS in any combat lasting longer than 30 seconds. I would propose we get a pull-down menu selecting a few options on HOW calculations are performed; for example Heat Yes/No (including point range, propmods, guns, boosters ... ALL DEM HEAT!) Reload time Yes/No? Doesn't have to be too elaborate (don't need to know the effect warfare links might have etc) just a few simple toggles (Overheat, Weapon Reloading) would go a long way. But, as I said, I can live without if it's too much of a hassle.
And finally, to emphasis what someone else mentioned before: can we have Shield/Armour recharge rates expressed in hitpoints / second? It doesn't have to take resists into account (just raw hitpoints is peachy) but I do not want to calculate what 392 hitp / 4.5 seconds means in tankable DPS. Please make it 87/sec. Knowing I have 66% resists I can figure out for myself I can tank 261 DPS and hovering over the module will tell me what the cycle time is and how many charges I have. All I ask is that it's expressed PER SECOND.
Oh by the way, didn't read the whole thing so maybe it was brought up. Or maybe not. But .... drone bandwidth? Would fit nicely next to drone control range. Thank you CCP Santa. |

I have no idea whether this is within the scope of this specific feature or even within this team's remit, but what I'd really like to be able to do is tell EVE "here is a fit. Go to the market and buy me all the components for this fit, assemble the ship, and put all the things you just bought for me on it." Obviously you might want to have options to set it to only buy from the current station or solar system.
Something like this would be a massive timesaver.
Andreus Ixiris > A Civire without a chin is barely a Civire at all.
Pieter Tuulinen > He'd be Civirely disadvantaged, Andreus.

add your turret tracking somewhere that is easier to acces than it is currently, maybe on the popup when you hover over your guns or somewhere in the dps section of the fitting screen
add drone control range to the fitting screen where it is easy to see, maybe add it to the drone control window? |

Adding PYFA to the Neocom would do the trick.
If the ingame ghost fitting doesn't have all the relevant information that PYFA and EFT have upfront or by simple hover context, I just won't use it. |

Can we get a list of modules that will fit in a slot with remaining PG / CPU / calibration with maybe just a right click (select "available modules") on the slot in question ??? |

Is knowing capacity of your ship's cargo hold after rigs, containers, modules, ammo, fuel, etc. entirely out of the question? *prior to completing the fit I mean
More specifically, adding containers can increase m3 beyond maximum values for the ship so doing that simple math is not so much an issue; it's placing items in/removing from those containers located in your ship's cargo hold... that must be done for each of them separately.
Selecting all your ship's cargo hold containers and "select all inside" so delivering contained items or dragging to hangar/station warehouse/etc can be faster.
Oh before I forget. Fix the time required to remotely package secure containers from the Personal Assets window. I remember that being a pita to do, requiring quite a bit of extra time (hours or maybe days??). These were station containers iirc; was years since I last attempted this on a used station container, but it was not fun. |

Me and CCP Karkur, have been poking at the fitting window. Adding the ability to test fit with ships and modules you don't own and see effects of modules when active or overheated without undocking. In short a lite version of EFT/PYFA inside client.
Some of the information in the stats panel is just raw data and not very useful in context. For example Inertia Modifier might be more useful as an Align Time attribute, a combination of attributes to give you relevant information. A sort of a 0-60 mph. concept that can be easily understood without knowing anything about the engine under the bonnet or other tech of the car.
We are planning to add Alpha in the offence panel and more information for drone users.
It would be nice to get some feedback on what would be useful for you guys to have in the fitting stats and if we see some recurring patterns in your feedback we might implement your suggestions as a part of the feature set.
This projects is just a Skunkworks endeavor for now but hopefully it's to enter production SOON tm.

CCP Sharq,
how will you address good or max skills saved fits which will look good for a max toon,
but when a new player or a player with worse skills going to look at this saved corp fit via ghost fitting going to see it worse due to lack of skills and the max toon will see it very good, how will this help the new players would you address this by in putting levels so a max toon could fit a ships if he had level 3 skills
so would you add levels so saying all my armor shields guns skills max for a ship which is gold masterd , so i fit that ship to a lower level kinda not based on my own skills stats,

What I just have missed again in the fitting window is a possibility to refit from a selection of fittings for the ship I am sitting in. I have a certain situation where I need to refit my freighter between a full set of Inertial Stabilizers and Expanded Cargoholds on a very regular basis.
Currently, I need to drag an installed module out of the fitting into my cargo and a module in my cargo into the fitting window. This is kind of tiresome. Instead of that, I would like to have an expandable section to the left of the fitting circle (like the skin thing), which shows me my saved fittings for this particular ship. I just need to click on the fitting and everything gets sorted with mods from either my cargo or item hangar.
It currently is possible to open the Browse Fittings window, search for the ship and then click on it, but this takes more time than actually dragging the modules manually, which makes it a non-solution.

It was suggested that I post this here. _____________________________ o7
Those who are or have supplied fitted ships to there Alliance, corp or events have spent countless hours boarding ships, selecting fitting, and press "Fit", then wash - rinse - and repeat. .... and repeat... repeat...
So my suggestion is such:
Using similar window and concept as when building ships. - Drop fitting into window - Select number of ships to be fitted - Select location of ships and items to be fitted - Press "Fit"
3 min (+/- cocking time) and you have 1000 fitted Rifters to give out, and hours more to actually play the game.
And of course, it works as well with 1 as with 1000 ships.
What you think, pointless or good to have ? _____________________________

Here's one I haven't seen anyone else suggest: let's see the chance we have to successfully jam ships with an equipped ECM jammer or ECM Burst based on either our own ship's sensor strength or using sensor strength presets, and taking into account sensor type, e.g. magnetometric, etc.
