No Links, No Scouts, No Implants were used in the making of this video! Just pure solo Battleship PvP focused around a 3.0au/s Armageddon fit which was super cheap and cost 77m to lose after insurance.
All footage was recorded in less than 5 days! These are pretty much every half decent fight that I got with my Armageddon. My piloting wasn't the best in a lot of these clips, but hopefully that won't detract from the experience.

Sorry you didn't like the music, I was kind of second guessing it myself (It was recommended to me by Stunt Flores, blame him!). Everything I wanted to use ended up making the video blocked in Germany :(

Pretty cool stuff there. I wish they would remove the CPU penalty on the hyperspatials though. Makes them less painful to fit.

it hurts my sole to see all three rig slots used for warp speed just to get to 3.0 au
sadly this vid also shows how bad battleships are. Even in a s hip that does great dps with super bonused long range neuts to cap out logis...... you still couldnt escape small gang when it got too much, and the dps from 2 vagas and a confessor melted you. Nothing against your skill you did great, but really shows how weak Battleships are.
otherwise man huge balls to you sir! GJ |

Vidoe is mint. Loved the hero Phobos in the last battle.
Having said that, Geddon is an exception to the BS rekt / notrekt rule, and even then it's Yolo tactics & fit.
I agree with DHB: To bring BS to former glory without redesigning everything, I'd imagine some sort of Bastion-type module would be needed for all T1 Battleship hulls. A lesser version than the Marauders' Bastion, ofc.

Love the vid! awesome to see solo bs out there! been thinking about doing some domi or geddon roams myself. I had a bunch of fits by my EFT seems to have lost them.

2x t2 warp speed does too, and less CPU penalty that way. currently selling ~25mil, not "cheap" but I remember paying that much for t1 rigs. Thinly traded, however I'm pretty sure one producer could make the market. my manufacturing alt doesn't quite have the right skills for it, and anyways every time I make t2 rigs the market seems to flood before I can get there. But yea warp speed rigs are something of a pain in the butt.

Very, very good fights, i really enjoyed the watch.
A couple questions though, how do you think a regular plate + rep Armaggedon would have performed in these fights ? Do you feel that going for 3 warp rigs was truly worth it, for instance over tank rigs or a mix of both ? |

I have a question however. Why did you choose to go brawl atleast the mega and the vagabond, while you could have produced pretty much same DPS from 20km you do from 0, but their DPS would have been greatly reduced?
Anyways, was a good watch.
To the general concensus of BS being useless beacause 2.0au/s, I disagree. I find it a good balancing thing. Any regular BS with pew fit can still reap havoc, but they just slow at it. |

I really enjoyed the warp speed rigs and they saved me on 3 occasions from blobs, the Co2 fight/Orthrus fight would not have been possible without the warp speed rigs allowing me to get ahead of their massive gang to fight the smaller ships before the back-up arrived. Having 3 warp speed rigs also made a pretty huge difference in the targets I was able to catch, not featured in the video but I was able to get some ishtar/gila kills that I feel would have escaped (they almost got out before I pointed them) if I was spending an extra 13-14 seconds in warp. Warp Speed Rigs do increase your targeting speed too as you decelerate and can take action quicker.
I think that going for a standard geddon would work just as fine too though, just expect to be caught by bigger gangs more often, maybe lose the occasional target that doens't want to fight, and spend much longer roaming.

Both the Megathron and the Phobos were rail fit and I actually mitigated quite a bit of the Mega's DPS by orbiting sharply in my Armageddon. You can see a few miss notifications as part of that fight, which probably made the difference between me living and dying.

Ach.. Couldn't see the notifications on the sped up vidya :) However, I stay on my stance with the vaga. Only reason I see to be close to the vaga is to secure the tackle, but it seems pointless, if you are about to die to it. And no, I am not arguing for the sake of making you look bad, but beacause I am genuinely interested on why you chose to make the decision. The mega with the rails are a very good reason, whitch I missed. However the vaga would have lost around ~30% of its damage at 20km instead of the 5000m you were at. |

Makes sense, thanks. I guess you have to fine tune warp speed, overall agility and speed, and tank to your liking. |

I noticed that too, and after my comment the market for the t2 version seems to have gone up a bit. T1 version seems to have come back on the market, but at a seemingly large markup from build value. if the margins stay this way for a week or so I'll probably jump in, but any sooner and what can I say other than I expect a huge volume to hit as soon as I hit the build button
