Hello
I made a post this morning regarding having 2 accounts.
The only reason I can see for 2 at the minute (being a total noob) is having 2 different play styles between them.
What reasons do you have for having 2 characters (on different accounts). How will it benefit me. |

If you did a post this morning about this, why did you start a new thread?

Two on different accounts because you can log on and play them at the same time. Something you won't be able to do if they're on the same account.

Two accounts (as opposed to 2 alts on one account) allow you to:
- train 2 characters at the same time, so each character can fly its set of ships faster - run 2 instances of EVE Online (typically on 2 screens) and have the two characters form up a fleet and fly together
People typically pick complementary roles for the two characters, so they work well together. Examples:
- one character transports stuff, the other scouts ahead for enemies or gate camps - one character mines asteroids, the other transports the ore to station - one character flies a battleship for maximum DPS, the other flies a logistics (healer) ship for combat repairs - one character flies a capital ship, the other flies a cyno generator so the capital ship can jump from system to system safely |

I like the Phoon so much, that I like to fly 2 of them at the same time. It will not benefit you in any way, because these accounts are mine.
Ideas:
Right click context menu on char -> custom entries
Minimize the docking game

Having a second character scout dangerous systems can save you from a lot of headaches. Also having a second char training leadership skills can give nice boosts to your other char, fleet you're part of etc.

I actually have 3 accounts. When mining I fly 2 exhumers and an orca. The ore per hour is more than three times what I would get with one account. The ore per click is more as well.
In missions I sometimes have a second pilot on a separate account follow me around dropping mobile tractor units and salvage drones. Some people would use the extra account to provide fleet boosters while missioning.
I also have pilots in W, a pilot stationed in Jita, and mining groups in different parts of space, to efficiently get different ore types. All in all, I have more uses for pilots than the three I would get from one account.
