you committed grand theft and then knowingly sold a stolen vessel? And dare accuse an innocent pilot of scamming? I motion the court to consider this new evidence be admitted here now |

Bagatur I wrote:I never traded like that, so can someone enlighten me on how it can happen?
I put up an item for sale, he places his ISK. I see that amount is OK and press OK/Done/whatever, at which point he reduces the amount and completes the deal? if that is the case, then it is an inherently flawed system.
Or is it that the guy reduces the amount before I hit OK, and I, being lazy/greedy/not paying attention, press OK and thus get shafted? Well then it is completely my fault and I dont understand why I see so many complaints about it.
When he changes the isk amount it resets your acceptance. However if you don't notice, you'll think "oh I thought I hit accept already" and hit it again, completing the deal, also, what he'll do is as soon as the window opens, put in the amount you were actually expecting, hit accept, which you'll see, then quickly change it and hit accept again, hoping that he can do so before you notice the change, if he's lucky you think the amount is still the same, hit accept, then he hits accept and the deal is done.
Basically if you do NEED to do a trade window trade, count to some arbitrary number more than 10 before hitting accept, and always double check the amounts. If you see him changing the amounts, just close window, he's trying to scam you.
OP, as was mentioned earlier, the best way to learn how to avoid being scammed is to watch for scams and see how they do them. Learn the arts of the scammer, maybe try scamming yourself (on an alt if you care about reputation). If you know how it's done, it's easy to avoid. |

My apologies for the delay but I needed a moment to collect myself. The jury has convicted you of these staggering crimes against unknown parties, against dagger X, against this very Cout and against all of eve. In fact the only thing you weren't convicted of is Defamation and you should thank yourself lucky that the true victim of this post did not press charges. If I were able to I would award said victim accordingly but she seems to have found more forgivness in her heart then we here at the Court of Crime and Punishment ever could have.
You are ordered to make restitution to the value of 550mil isk to dagger X who I believe by your own admission was the original owner of the ship you sold under false pretenses.
You are ordered to pay CODE. 250mil isk for mining without a permit. I reccomend you see to fixing this as soon as possible before CODE. agents are forced to take action
This court is also fining you 15bil isk for crimes and breaches of our laws and your are furthermore ordered to pay all court fees to the tune of 450 mil ISK.
Thank you, Jury, for your service today. Court is adjourned.
Payments to all parties can be made to appropriate corporations or to the court directly who will forward it on to the appropriate parties

Good morning, sir, Your Honour, The evidence before the Court was In-contro-vertible, there was no need for The Jury to retire.
The evidence had plainly shown The capsuleer, who stood before You, Being caught red-handed causing torment; Pain of an almost SP loss nature!
In all my years of serving, I have never seen before of Someone more deserving The full Penalty of Law!

i suggest finding a similar exercise. because things.....stuff....scams. You wrote out 23 zeros in Avogadro's constant? Ever heard of scientific notation?
i would count them...not write them.
it would be tough referencing avogadro and convincing someone i had no idea what scientific notation was.

I don't think you really have time to review them all. Nonetheless your dedication to making this game a better place impresses me. hit me up and for some help next time you wanna organize another collaboration with Marmite and I'll help you skip the red tape.

I'm sure once you banhammered a few folks, the rest would cease and desist. It's just like any other disallowed activity - a complaint would be filed, a quick investigation would ensue, to be followed by a speedy execution. |

Most other MMOs would suit your playstyle.
Can I suggest one? World of Warcraft. I used to play it, and it had better PVE than EVE does, strictly regulated PVP (other than its Auction House; Runescape is the only game I have heard of actually taking measures to stop AH PVP and I never played that to have an opinion on it), and most importantly, WoW is based upon the principle that players are bound to their word in interactions with each other.
I left WoW and wound up in EVE when I realised that I wanted my opponents to be cunning, not just stupid creatures with high stats. It sounds like you dislike cunning and ruthless opponents in games, so migrating the other way may suit you.
EVE isn't for everyone.
Shoot everyone. Let the Saviour sort it out.
I enforce the New Haliama Code of Conduct via wardec ops. Ignorance of the law is no excuse - read about requirements for highsec miners at www.minerbumping.com

No thanks. I like the vast majority of highsec players (you know, the people who didn't vote for you), who are able to enjoy the game without griefing, scamming, etc...
Perhaps you should try out nullsec? |
