Just curious. Can you do courier contracts in more than one trip? Or can you only do one all at once. |

The only limitation on the number of contracts you can do at once are: a) Your contracting skill level b) Your ability to fit all of the contracts within your ships cargo hold. c) Safe limits on the value of the combined cargo in your at one time (don't fly what you can't afford to lose and certain isk levels will make you an attractive target). d) Your wallets ability to afford the combined concurrent collateral for all the contracts. |

When you accept a courier contract, the items are packaged into a box. If you break that box, the contract can no longer be completed. So you have to take the entire courier contract it once. |

You can't break up the courier package without failing the contract (and paying the collateral). But if you contact the contract creating player there's a good chance you can get him to rewrite the contract as multiple contracts with smaller volume each. I set up couriers all the time and would have no problem working with a hauler this way. Depends on the load, of course, if the item is one repackaged ship he can't break it up, but most of the time it is probably stacks of smaller stuff. It is important to note you don't have to be on site or in region to set up courier contracts, you can set them up through your assets window. Some contract creators may not realize this. |

a lot of courier contracts are massive oversized cheap items, you will usually find those passive through 1 low sec system and forces you to have a large ship like a freighter or orca and go through the low sec, the reward which may be a lot, ive seen 100m+ with a multibillion collateral, so you go "that's a lot of isk for 1 jump through low sec a few jumps away, what could POSSIBILY go wrong" its used to make lots of isk and score good killmail.
since the freighter killing spree began last year, its now used to get freighters going through the 0.5 systems and make good isk with ganker gangs
but ofcourse all of this will be told its a lie

This sort of baiting via courier contract absolutely does happen. But its not hard to avoid. Just use your map window to check for a route from origination to destination, if any red (lowsec) systems are on the route, there is a very high chance this is a bait contract, I would advise not accepting it unless you know the contracting person.
I set up around 10 courier contracts a week for various trading and industry purposes. I never even bother setting contracts that require travel in lowsec, I expect any experienced hauler will assume its bait and a newbie who doesn't know better will just get ganked. I don't care to tarnish my reputation by trying to take advantage of the newbies. If I want something from lowsec I jump in an appropriate ship like a blockade runner and go get it myself.
Mind you, courier routes that run entirely through highsec are not entirely safe. I send a lot of couriers to and from Amaar space from my base near Jita, and these pass through Niarja, perhaps the game's most notorious hangout for highsec suicide gankers. But I expect haulers to be able to manage the risk of suicide gank, it's part of the profession. For a basic guide to avoiding gank, see here. |

You can do as many at once as you can afford. |
