Bigger than titans. Would that get close to mobile planets as opposed to a starship?
It would probably be cheaper and more efficient to just mount massive thrusters to a moon to get something bigger than a titan, lol.

Bigger than Titans? I dont think so, I'd imagine a new new class of capital ship or something.

As for the top level, I don't think so. Chaos is at the top from Titans. Chaos is also the name of a dev-only server. There will not be any bigger ships if you'd follow that tier, because the next step up is a EVE server.

Yea well... the devs ahve already comented on this subject within the past few days even [ i think it was wranglar]. He basically said there were currently no plans to have a bigger ship than the titan right now, but he also said that he saw no reason not to do it and if they did it would be the battle star class or [juggernaught].
Nehterless i say its not really needed considering the rarity of titans. -----------------------------------------------

Well It was already stated that there will be nothing bigger than the Titian for now, but this is not set in stone, if needed I am sure they will introduce it, but I think we will 1st see a tech 2 Joven Titan requiring both Ammar and Minnatar Titan piloting skill.
Oh Gaia would be cool as a cap class ship minning. 8 Modulated Strip Miner IIs. with a 100% bonus yeild. -----------

I think they just need to make ships bigger. Keep frigates the way they are, but increase the differences in sizes from there. So each class up actually looks impressive. As it is now, I'm just not impressed with the sizes of these ships. Battleships just plain don't look big, there are problems of scale. --------

that's just because all you compare it to are other BS's. First time I saw a BS, I was in a cruiser and it was damn impressive

That's not true, I've never even been in one of my own, I fly cruisers most of the time. Maybe it's just because I'm always around those little Caldari battleships. --------

Frankly, the "next capital" ship wouldn't have to be larger than the titan, but rather just completely combat/siege-oriented while remaining a wee bit larger than a mothership.
A spread of 5-8 XLarge weapons on top of siege mode and maybe a slightly different version of the Titan's superweapon? Brutal.

Hopefully new capital ship will be fleet combat oriented rather than anti-structure like dreadnoughts. An uber tank with some kind of uber logistics stuff.

I do think ship sizes need to be scaled up or down a bit.
If you remember the Millenium Falcon (a cargo cruiser) sliding down along past a Mon Calamari Cruiser, those things were huge compared to it. Granted, they might call what we call a battleship a cruiser, but that still proves the point. You can zip right past a battleship in a frigate, too, without that impressive sense of scale.
I think it should be like this:
Frigates Cruisers (10x frigates) Battleships (10x cruisers) Capital Ships (about 15x cruisers)
And stations should be a made larger (again) to compensate.
Now, it won't mean much looking at your current ship from your camera drone, but the sense of scale will be completely more "realistic", for lack of a better term.

why get an even bigger ship than titan when titan is soooo broken still?
either we need small, medium and large repair modules & weapons for capital ships too (current beeing the small ones :D). or a siege module slot for the titan.

Actually, the titans that are in the game now do not match the titans discribed in the back story. Titans are suppost to be nearly as large as moons and much, much bigger than stations. They were suppost to be super armored and shielded moble stations. That is not what we got.
Players cannot dock with titan Players cannot ride in titan Titans cannot hold whole fleets
So what we have now is big, but not the titans that were discribed in the back story.
IMHO a titan should be just like a station with almost unlimited room for hangers and bays. Clone and repair services should be there. They should take hugh fleet to kill. They should never get to log off.

I wouldn't go by Star Wars for good size comparisons if I were you, they have alot of ship 'types' that are vastly different in size.
Nebulon-B Frigates are fairly large, and comparable in size to some of the smaller capship cruisers.
A Titan is also about the same length as the Executor ISSD from ESB and ROTJ.

But not nearly as cool. Also, remember that you see it ram the Death Star (the size of a moon) and it's about 1/10th to 1/20 it's size. Still bigger then a Titan, though.
I agree, before we get new cap ships... let's fix the existing ones. Make Titans mobile stations, not lame non-com gate making machines.
