I've been playing eve for a while and believe the warfare mechanic is not necessarily fair for anyone except for the aggressor most of the time. I believe that a lot of people have quit the game of eve over war. I think there could be a game mechanic that somehow turns Warfare off for corporations, I would make the game more fun for those who are not interested in war. However I do understand that war is apart of the game. Less people wouldn't quit the game after a year of playing and getting war decked by corporations that have played much longer. |

Disband [CORP NAME], and then join an NPC corp with all your friends and then create a in-game channel and mailing list called "[CORP NAME] Alumni" where you can hang out with your friends from [CORP NAME] in high sec.
Warfare turned off. tada! Recruit likeminded players to this channel and then build something great. One advantage of doing it this way is that you won't have to deal with the lousy corporation interface ever again.

eve mostly favors the agressor. life mostly favor the agressor. hisec wars are can be fun btw :P get in touch with a small pvp corp, offer something to them, hang out with them sometimes, learn some basics about pvp, station games, and in wars wreck your enemy with cheap fleets plus ewar. the t1 cald and gal ewar frigs can ruin a day of a shiny warfleet. pvp is more fun, when your warfleet loosing 100 mils with 10 losses, and the enemy fleet losing 700 mils with one xD |

Please go ahead and declare a war on someone and I'll go ahead and ally into it for free and then you can explain to me why it's fair to you that you're now paying money for me to be able to kill you for a week.
Wars are mechanically biased in favor of the defender, not the aggressor.
Aggressors have the advantage because the aggressors are aggressive. The people on the receiving end of wars lose because they tend to be ridiculously passive and totally unwilling to attempt to defend themselves while simultaneously presenting a source of high value kills at no risk to the attacker.
It has nothing to do with the mechanics of the war declaration system. It has to do with cost-benefit analysis. |
