Used to be able to, can't now. Why?
Need stuff moved? Push Industries will handle it.
Serving highsec, lowsec and nullsec - and we do it faster and more reliably than anyone else.

Because they changed it some time ago, like a year or 2 maybe. Look at patch notes if you care for exact moment.

Any chance it could be reverted? That is a needless change, in my eyes. Used to be able to activate warp and loot a wreck in a very time-efficient manner.

Nerf to theft...... .....and yeah I'd like to know the reasoning.
Initiating warp off and then looting was clever use of game mechanics.
Wtf...
Bumping is fine, Ganking is fine.
The real issue are Carebears. Bad people wishing ill and death upon on all of us.
The obvious solution is to wipe them out and make sure they don't come back.
Let's kill them all for the good of EVEmanity.

It was a nerf to how easy it was to avoid risk while stealing loot.
Now you: Align, Loot, Warp.
I am just here to snuggle and do spy stuff.

Was it really that easy? I never managed to get under two second when I wanted to loot. Most often than not I warped away without getting any loot at all.
And considering the security mechanic, there is no risk for anyone with a point to simply spam the disruptor/scram button and hope it'll catch me.
This is rather confusoring.
You should suffer a slow, agonising death with screams of pain and suffering.
Have everything you posess taken away from you.
Most importantly ... yourself.

It was terribly easy with the warp started. The hostile entity still had to wait for the server tic so the thief has a 1 second free pass even if they were pre locked. [Scoop all .5 seconds before your ship goes into warp]
In slower ships you might go into warp without leaving the scoop all range so if done right there was 0 risk.

It happened sometime in 2012 when they changed the "loot" button to "approach & loot."
Who put the goat in there?
