I hate to re-state this as a thread of its own, but perhaps it will be stickered to the top of this forum to end thread upon thread of incressent whining I've long since run out of stomach for:
To those of you somehow unaware of this fact, singularity is a test server, where a lot of things are tested, amongst them being such past marvels as drone bay expanders, suicide smartbombs that deal 10k damage, removal of local and lasers with damage mods of x500. Of late it has also gotten a 'warp to 0' option, the introduction of which likely has more to do with aleviating database strain on test hardware already-overburdened with a large number of people trying to get in. It doesn't necessarily corelate with what you will see on TQ
I for one think that a simple 'warp to 0' option to every object in the game over-simplifies things in a direction that shouldn't be taken, but if experience shows anything, its that singularity hardly reflects the total and exact state of new features to be introduced. So think for a moment, and don't jump to conclusions - the sky is nowhere near falling.

I for one am not jumping and will wait untill kali is live to see for my self.
However I am for the change on one condition and that is that they remove all bookmarks near objects like gates stations etc.

I completely agree
These forums have been feeling more and more like WoW forums
Even if Warp to 0 goes live I could even argue that this was just a ploy to get people traveling without instas. Hear me out on this This patch they release warp to 0 The people rejoice and delete all their instas Next patch CCP say "Woops" *Wink wink* and put the warp in back to 10k all of a sudden you have everyone traveling without instas and slow boating all the way to the gate
It just dosnt pay to cry to CCP about any of these changes because realy you have no idea what their long term plans are and you just endup looking like a child.

Hey if I was running the show at ccp, I would post a mass sticky, saying everyone has 30 days to get all their secure cans out ofspace, and at the end of those 30 days just implement a script that deletes them all. If you arent playing in that whole month you have no right to complain afterwords. Same for the warp to 0, if they implement it they should force remove all bms, the reason is that there are nearly millions of caracters that don't log in ever, and that just takes up gigs of space on already loaded servers.

It's very interesting that nobody from CCP that I know of has commented on the testserver change, despite all the uproar. I'm not sure how to interpet that.
My best guess is that they're very seriously considering incorporating a warp-to-zero system in Revelations, but not absolutely certain of it. That would give them a chance to see how things pan out in terms of server load, PvP, travel, and customer reaction, without absolutely committing to anything.
Otherwise I'd think somebody would have posted by now, if only to get everyone to shut up about it.
Just random guesswork tho'. * * * In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Lies! It's all a ploy of GH-SC!
Seriously.
Chill folks. Like the nice man with the mega beam laser said - the sky is not falling, not until the Devs say otherwise.

Target gate: Warp to 5km min Other target: Warp to 15km min
Cannot made instas on grid where gate is and grids around it (aka. if gate is located on a grid next to another grid, you cannot create BM on that grid) "It's great being Amarr, ain't it?Ö"

Dude, that makes no sense.
What are you trying to communicate here?

That if you are warping to a GATE, you get warp to 5km instead of 0km but if you try to warp OTHER object, you get warp to 15km option as it is now.
Then prevent making BM's around gates and remove ALL current BM's. Problem solved, eh? "It's great being Amarr, ain't it?Ö"

(copied from one of the many other threads thread abaout the subject)
Originally by: Dubble Dutch I'm new to this game (1 month) and I have been hearing a lot of swearing on the insta's/warp to 0.
It seems to me the original idea was that a warp engine cannot bring you close to a specific point in space due to the nature of the thing. (it would be very impressive to travel 50AU and land within less then a km 'off'. Nowadays GPS will get you within a few meters at best, and the satelites fly at less then 40 km IIRC) So why doesn't CCP make it so that with whatever warppoint you travel to (bookmark, station or whatever) you actually will NEVER arrive at the exact spot? Let the game generate a random number for the last digit (X,Y and Z) for any point in space that is being warped to and the need for insta's will disappear as well.
I've started to use insta's as well: what the game allows I will do, but I find the idea silly that there is no standard way to 'warp to 0' while there is a workaround. The most silly thing is offcourse that while selecting the insta warppoint you still choose 'warp within 15 km' which makes me think the whole point was (and is) the inherent inaccuracy of warping (and simulating that in the game)
my two cents,
Cheers, Dubble Dutch

My only thought on the matter is that if warp to 0 km is brought in it should only be for manual warps not autopilot. Otherwise we'll just be back to the way it was some time ago when the gate activated from where you exited warp (10km 15km? I don't quite recall).
Just my opinion, not my corp's... wait I am the corp

You think they need to alleviate server strain on Singularity? Visited TQ resently have you?
I think one of the main purposes of puting something on SiSi besides actual bugtesting is to see the community response. Arguing now is much more helpful than doing it once it is on TQ (And that scrip already erased all your G2G instas ). I think the Devs listen more to the forum community than you think.
Personally i think anything that removes instas from game is great. Be it warp to 0 or forced 15. And its needed... its been needed for as long as i have been playing.
