I have terrible skills, and I'm just messing around with my load-out before I purchase anything and waste my money as I have not much of. I know there is better to do but again I only have a character less then a month old. So how does this look, for a low skill ship?*

Get your skills up. I can fit a full heavy pulse/medium t2 repper/t2 hardener prophecy with no fitting mods whatsoever.
To be honest given how new your character is I'd seriously recommend against buying a prophecy. If you want to fly Amarr get good in a Punisher, then a Maller, then try the Prophecy.

why don't you take out the 2 pdu and put in an rcu and then you'll have an extra low for some hardeners

Actually I don't need them at all.
"2x Eutectic I Capacitor Charge Array" was put in instead of using a Nosferatu. And the "2x Power Diagnostic System I" was put in because I had to open low spots and I was not sure if putting in armour was worth it... And I'm not using pulses because this is for a longer range. I should have posted that before, I know I still need training, however, I'm in a sort of race with a "rival" as you could put it. Also, once I get into the prophecy I will be spending time in it going to T2. I only really went up to this because I keep getting pirated by plays and pod killed (Even in an Omen) while in 0.6 space even...
Basically I'm trying to build a balanced ship for Missions/Ratting and slight PvP without being heavy on the skills side. I do however have a lot of support skills and also I have about 500,000 in skill points...*

Nosferatu (named) added also I had skipped over the RCU in Quickfit so I added that in and removed the 2xPDU (Which I had added because I had open slots). As for an armour hardener I'm unclear as how they are used? So I added 400mm armour plating instead. How does this look now?*

I would take out the tractor beam and put on a nos or two, it is for pvp right? This might help you sustain a tank better. Thats just me though.

This setup will probably be OK for most level 2 missions. I can't speak to PvP much, but with your low resists, I would imagine your armor running out much before your capacitor. You may want to see about fitting some Energized Adaptive Nano Membranes (EANMs) in your low slots, even if it is just one. Your medium armor repairer isn't going to keep up unless you boost your resists a bit. Armor hardeners are active modules that greatly boost the resistance to one type of damage, so if you know who you are fighting, they can be used to give you an extra edge.
I would drop a heat sink to fit at least one EANM, since the advantage from the third is small enough that you can do without. |

That's what I needed to know thank you, once I get home I will refit it and post up the new fittings...

I'm avoiding pulse's over the longer range beams that way I do'nt have to fly in at 2,500 to get any decent hits in... I can hit with the gammas and mutlis at a longer 15,000 range...*

Just change the stuff for the T1 versions instead, the setup is sound.
With low skills the Focused Medium Beams are a very good weapon choice. I'd use/used a similar setup to the above.
7xFocused, 1xAssault launcher AB, Web, Cap recharger Med reppie, 2x rat specific resistance, cap relay, 2*heat sink
For level 2's that should work very well, for 3's you'd probably do better by switching those 2 heat sinks for 2 more rat specific hardeners. (med reppie, 4xrat resistance, cap relay)

*COUGH* PROPHECY ONLY HAS 6 TURRETS AND 7 HIGH SLOTS *COUGH*
And 3/4 of the time you want to stay full tank in lows, while having only maybe 1 heatsink. And a Cap injector in the mids for pvp, if you get noss'd your screwed without an injector.

Right, I forgot to add a proph setup. What I use in PvP. If you dont plan on PvP'ing then ignore this setup seriously.
Oh and heres the T1 version.
6x Heavy Pulse Laser I 1x Medium NOS (if your fitting skills allow)
10mn Afterburner Medium Cap Injector Stasis Webifier
Medium Armor Rep 2x Energized Adaptive Nano's 2x Passive Hardeners (I use 40% but thats faction.) 1x Damage Control
My resistances with Faction- EM- 83% Kin- 82% Exp- 81% Therm- 71%
LOL and I currently have this setup so resistances are accurate this time.

Haha, my bad, i drawn in by the above setting. *changing number of turrets*
As i also said, for lvl 3's he'll probably want full tank, but for level 2's 2 resistances and the ships bonus should be plenty and it's funnier to use heat sinks. :)
