Thought I'd post this here in the general ideas and feedback forum. I do think the CSM needs to represent high-sec players more. One way to do this would be to let each candidate do a little manifesto so people can make an informed choice, e.g.:
"Chribba - I am a carebear who lives in high-sec and likes to trade, set up helpful websites" "The Mittani - I am an honourable null-sec dweller, please contract me your titan so I can check its fit"
I would also suggest a vote screen on login so that casual players or those who would not otherwise be aware of the CSM vote can participate. It could have the option to "remind me later" or "no vote" and perhaps if you choose not to vote you could access it in-game later if you change your mind.

No manifesto is needed. The players already set up their platforms quite well. The problem is, high sec players, despite being a larger population than null sec players, have no organization on a large scale level. You want more representation? Inform the high sec players, organize them, get them to vote.
The tools are already at your disposal. They're just not being used. High sec players would rather come to the forums after the voting is over to complain about lack of representation.
Also, did Mittens scam you out of a titan? I think he did. |

Before it gets pointed out, meant to type "eject" not "contract" re titan.
Regarding high-sec lack of organisation that was my point. A brief manifesto for each player would allow the large number of casual/disorganised high-sec'ers (and I should add that I am NOT saying all high-sec players are casual or disorganised) to better understand the candidates.
Oh and as to titans I'm perfectly willing to eject mine for you, price is 80 bill ISK, deposit 8 bill up front, evemail me if you find the price acceptable :) |

I not sure whether this thread belongs here, though it does have a valid point. How many players in here could name just one person residing in the CSM, let alone prospective candidates and what they stand for?

My first goal as CSM would be to introduce Capital Mining Lasers as a solution to the now removed drone bays (limits).

I was just wondering earlier why you're not a CSM, Chribba? (or are you? Rina you're right that most people don't even know who the CSMs are...) |

He's not a CSM. Never even run, afaik. Probably too busy with other projects to spend that kind of time, but I shouldn't speak for him.
And btw: They already do this. Before every election, each candidate posts in Jita Park their campaign message weeks ahead of th election. Just take the time to read them next election |
