Just want to know how my character skills look and if i am missing some skills in the first tier i need. For the most part I plan on being a fighter first and use drones along with the missles/guns. After that trading and marketting. My character is 58 days old. I am working the regular skills as well as the learning skills at the same time.

not sure what ship you're planning to fly, but for galante I dont think missiles help a lot, if you can use them at all.
engineering/electronics/weapon upgrades to 5, advanced weapon upgrades and other gunnery support skills to 4(or 3 on the support skills, for now but dont wait too long to get them to 4) energy managment and energy system operations to 4 or 5 large hybrid turrets 3 at least, 4 or 5 not a bad choice either
advanced drone interfacing 4, scout drones to 5, navigation durability and not sure what more drone support skills there are to 4, galante and/or minmatar drone specialization to 2 so you can sue t2 light and medium drones(4 if you want to use t2 heavy drones) heavy drone operation 4 or 5
mechanic, hull upgrades and repair systems 4(5 for some t2 equipment) armor compensation skills could be nice choice to get to 4 or 5, but only if you plan to use passive armor harnders(energized adaptive nano memberanes are pretty nice)
thin that should keep you busy for a while. and off course learning skills mixed in like you're doing allready :)
- When talking about the itsy bitsy spider, try not to start with itchy, you'll get the second part wrong as well |

hey thanks. I am looking to use sentry drones for the most part and am working on drones 5 now. Also havent really picked a ship at this point just trying to have missles as an option too. because a couple gallente ships have them. I will be useing sheilds combined with armor back up system. Trying to take advantage of all the available hp i can. not looking to PvP for quite awhile yet until a few more months of intense training.

This is almost always a bad idea if you're going to use your ship for shooting things or moving around rather than just sitting there and tanking (and even then you'd probably repair less hp/s when shieldtanking and experience bigger cap problems when armor tanking, as you wouldn't have room for things like pds and cap rechargers, respectively).

so your better off picking shields or armor completely?

Go armour tank for Gallente, more low slots on most ships, and some of the ships bonuses are geared towards armour tanking. www.greng.net/eve/notexactlyninja.jpg[/IMG]

Yes.
An 'active' tank, be it shield boosting or armour repairing basically turns capacitor directly into hitpoints. So with only limited exceptions if you are shield boosting, by the time you hit armour, your cap is already flat, more or less wasting all the modules you have for your armour tank.
Worse, things like repairers and boosters are fairly expensive in terms of fittings, meaning you sacrifice a lot to get both a shield booster and a repairer on your ship.
You are far better off building a shield tank, and using your low slots for power diagnostic systems to increase your cap (and shield) available - or just damage modules so you kill things faster.
Or an armour tank (which as a rule, is a better choice on gallente ships), and use your mid slots to improve your capacitor recharge, or just fit modules to allow you to kill faster. I think there's a drone module, but certainly afterburner and webifier are good solid choices, alongside capacitor recharges and capacitor batteries.
