896719, the current live TQ version, contains the fix that was being tested in the sisi versions listed in this thread. All people who had success with launcher 844420 should allow their launcher to update to this version.
If 896719 does not fix your issue, please get in contact with the GM's and forward them your launcher logs so we can examine your issue. |

I have done literally everything up to and including uninstalling and reinstalling, and still have the same issues as before. My only other recourse to just simply uninstall and close my account due to the unreasonable issues we been having for a month if not longer. And also to the no responses from CCP as to why they're just ignoring the problem(s). |

Ok, last night I logged in AFTER manually downloading and updating the client, what the problem is; the Resource Cache which was introduced awhile back is the issue, thus preventing the client to update properly. As far as I can tell it is NOT communicating between client and server to update the cache what so ever.
This holds true from the time I click on my desktop icon to start up the game. |

CCP, there are off buttons for ship explosions, missile effects, turret effects, etc. "Immersion" does not seem to be harmed by those. So, [u]please[/u] give us a persisting-áoff button for the jump gate and autoscan visuals.

All of a sudden a box popped up, and it downloaded something, next thing the launcher was working again.
Now it Greyed out play button again and its only been 3 days, and the is no I am reinstalling eve again.
I get feed up with this CCP, Do you want to keep your customers or what.
Thus is driving me mad!!!!!!!!!!!! |

This morning I started the launcher and went away for 30 minutes while the update took place. However thing did not work out.
After 30 minutes, I had the same problem as described above. Greyed out PLAY button and progress bar stuck at 0% and not going anywhere.
I then switched the language to French and immediately got the EULA (or some legal nonesense) dialog. I accepted and the PLAY button became blue and the progress bar was already at 100%. All good to go. This seems to indicate the update did actually took place and it was just a refresh issue on the launcher's part. I then moved the language to English and got the same legal dialog again (really CCP?). Play button was still blue and ready to go and progress bar was at 100%. Hope it helps. |

since Launcher v.2.2.896719 (Mac 10.10.4) patch won't load, stucks at 0.0%. Yeah sometimes it does a short load, maybe to 10% but it falls back to 0 very fast. https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=5877637 https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=426720 also I have this issue with the out-greyed play button, when I get this far. sometimes the launcher just shows half of its content and freezes. many times I need to force quit now. Reinstall doesn't fix it for me. only thing help is to delete the Eve Online folder in $user/Library'Application Support - helped until I played with each of my accounts once. Again, tried all hints, back&forwards in every language, delete/reinstall. Nope. I deleted that folder again. Works. Probably it's just one file in there ****** up. I lose my game settiings though. Sucks.
So far I guess it's not my job to find what's wrong with the new patch, aight.
I count on you boys and girls from CCP !

What works for me when the launcher borks out is pressing right click on the right side and click back and forward until it works. Don't know if this fixes the issue for other people though. |

Memo!: Sometimes you have to keep the mouse cursor over the Launch window for Anything to update, recheck, etc. So if the language switch does help you, keep that pointer very close or it just might have you waiting multiple minutes anyways... This worked instantly for me.. Kudos If that does.nt workh go to settings and repair launcher, it will close launcher download stuff and when you open the launcher it will start updating. Works for me.

I'm not sure though, but I have noticed that since this last patch on tuesday. I have had nothing but issues. Launcher stays grayed out, clients crash/sockets close, massive lag issue when I open up a 5th account. God forbid I ever open a 6th or 7th again.
All I know is whatever the deal is CCP needs to fix this ****. This is annoying that a LAUNCHER problem has been going on for so long and seems to be getting worse and more frequent, at least for me, after every patch. Having to use the work-around of "Just use the Exe file." is ********. A launcher should at least get me to the client so it can have issues in there somewhere.
How many people have tried to download the game and play it but haven't even been able to get into the game because of this issue? |

How many people have tried to download the game and play it but haven't even been able to get into the game because of this issue?
I've spent the last 2 hours downloading patches with the launcher to no avail. I had to resort to using the repair tool and then copy over the resource cache from my backups to the shared cache folder since the repair tool (and apparently some patches) deletes it. I've already unsubbed 4 accounts, I'll unsub the last 2 when I find something better to play. CCP is either unable or unwilling to address this issue. CCP can go on believing that their players actually want daily patches and hundreds of gigabytes a month in downloads while their playerbase shrivels up.

The yelling man on the previous page had the solution.
Rightclick on launcher background - previous - rightclick on now empty background - forward.
Page loads properly, launcher now works.
CCP this **** is 2004 level facepalm. Feel poorly in accordance to your level of failure please. |

Little feedback from this day 1h before the DT:
- I had the gray button issue and I thought I could solve it with the repair tool, but it got worse, - now, the hole client got gray and it won't start up when I click on the desktop shortcut, - I don't have any means to install patches now!
For every patch you do have a greater issue than gray button in the launcher:
For every patch the launcher do a error pop-up saying that the launcher.exe can't access the files and instruct me to close my Steam application. You have some issue with a collision with the Steam engine. I don't have EVE installed through Steam and the files aren't in the Steam folder. Therefore shouldn't Eve care about if the Steam application is online or not. You do however have Eve in Steam as a alternative installation and I think you have done something that compromise the Eve launcher. |

I have had this many times myself, all I do to fix it is place my mouse pointer on the launcher somewhere and let it sit and the launcher starts its download of any patch or just allows the play button to be useable.
