Dear good folks at CCP:
IF you really want to boost vast amounts of interest and bidding on anything in support of "PLEX for GOOD", then raffle off a few more of the uber-rare hulls that nobody has seen for years and never will because they are all but forgotten.
Some of those State Issue Ravens from "back in the day", a few more of the earlier Alliance prize ships ( current owners can ***** all they want, it's not like most of them are being used anyway -- except as collateral, or some other pointless waste ) and you can watch the bidding go wild.
Basic "carrot and donkey" stuff, CCP... time to get out the really shiny carrots. |

it wont happen.
People might want them but limited things are exactly that limited, I cant see CCP making more of them to raffle off as it defeats the point of making them limited.
The point of charity isnt bribery and rewards, its selfless giving to help those in need. |

The Scorp is actually a good idea, as it was NEVER ment to be this limited. CCP had intended to give it out to all sorts of player-made groups, but people raged once Somer got them, so CCP stopped doing it.. CCP should have no problem seeding more for things like this, as it's not a prize ship or anything, and never came with a promise of being exclusive. |

no to previous AT prize ships, yes to limited skins
also not really sure how tasteful rewards for plex4good are, you do get a shirt, but I'd consider that to be very minor. Also not sure how it would play out with characters like Chribba collecting isk/plex from large numbers of individuals and sending in huge donations.

When I give money to charity, it'll be direct, because I'd rathe not taint the goodwill of the giving by getting a reward. There should be no carrot for taking care of others.
At 5 drones of T2, the Tristan is nearly as powerful as the Algos, with a cheaper price tag, better maneuverability and speed, and smaller sig radius to avoid the lazy carebearish T3 station blapping -10s who have no life. Pick tristan for FW.

I think Chribba is going to raffle the CCP rewards back to the donors, based on the ISK amounts sent. |

What about ones that are tied up on perma-banned accounts? You are never going to unban those accounts. Which means a lot of history and fun of these ships (either people using those ships, dying in those ships, flying those ships in the AT, etc) will never happen. Those people did bad things that were against the EULA. Why not turn their bad actions into a positive good for the world and Eve? |

Stuff that's on banned accounts remains on banned accounts. That's the way of things.

That's the way of things. Just simply noting that, AFAIK, that policy is an arbitrary decision that can be undone at any time by CCP.
Also, in response to the many people who are against putting things of value up for auction the benefit Plex for Good: People respond to different incentives. Some people they respond well to charitable giving because of the good feeling they get out of their donation. Others respond well to getting something in return. You don't have to like that fact. However, if putting something of value up for auction, such as a limited issue ship that would have never see the light of day again on a perma-banned account, stimulates someone who previously wouldn't have donated into donating/someone who did donate into donating more, then it would make sense to pursue that avenue to some reasonable extent with the realistic hopes that the amount donated would increase. If the people in the affected areas benefits more from these actions, and these actions are not harmful (the ship was already in Eve so we aren't adding limited issue ships), then it would make sense to me to carry those actions out. |

Bringing back a ship like the Golden magenet would be perfect for this IMHO.
Ships there are NONE of, and would really bring some PLEX for the charity, and a otherwise dead ship would be returned, under that I consider fair way :)

If CCP were to go with an idea like this (a big if!), I'd love to see them, say, make Sanctuary counterparts to the Astero and Nestor, and use those specifically as PLEX for GOOD auction stuffs; limited release, but something that can be brought out any time CCP's doing charity work.
But, y'know-- wishes, horses, etc.

Mmmm i really should mail the good causes i donated to since i don't recall ever getting anything for it in return but a ''thanks'' .
Guess i'm the odd one here because i allways donated because it seemed the right thing to do instead of realising you don't need to give a **** about what it's for as long as you get some shinies for your own out of it.
We are all born ignorant, but one must work hard to remain stupid.

Welcome to the great western civilisation where everything needs to be about ''what do I get out of it'' . I agree.
And as the man said no, this thread might as well get a lock.
