Ever have alot of isk laying around that you have nothing to do with? Or are you one of those players who can only play a few hours a week and dont have much time to rake in large amounts of isk?
I think that there should be a banking system where you can put your isk away for a set period of time and get some return on it. And players/corporations should also be able to take out loans.
Banking: A bank account would be managed by concord and you would get a very low (like .05%) return rate, which could be increased (by like .01) by skills. Standing would also effect return as well as the amount of isk stored in the bank (less % earned over a certain amount for large amounts), and the amount of time it is stored there (like a timed safe). And it would cost you isk to remove the isk before the investment period is over (and maybe hurt your standings with said corporation a little, lowering future returns).
Loans: Players would be able to take loans from npc corps. Loans could not exceed 1/5th of the characters net value (isk worth of all of the characters items, including the current amount of uninvested isk), and would be issued depending on standing with the npc corp, concord rating, & time in game (not playing time, amount of time registered). Loans would be issued on a time scale (long term vs short term) where long time loans would have higher interest and short term ones would have less interest,& loans would be placed againt the belongings the character has. If loans are left unpaid the issuing npc corp of the loan would be able to take the items put up for the loan, the items put up for the loan woule not be able to be sold, reprocessed, or traded. And if the item is destroyed the person must choose more of his assets to place against the loan. Or pay the loan altogether. A character who loses all of his assets (in an attempt to get out of paying the loan) would recieve negative concord standings, as well as negative standings towards all npc corporations (like a real bad credit score), and maybe get a bounty which would allow them to be attacked in concord space. And also they could tax any income the player recieves until the loan is repaid. (So if you try and cheat out of a loan as an exploit expect to lose your character in the process) I don't have a problem with authority... ...as long as it doesn't get in my way. |

Invest in player run enterprises, like ISS stations. Borrow money from players who want to invest in You :)
Simple and effective :)

Loans are already in teh works for the contract system. I think we'll see some T2 cartels becoming credit agencies in the near future. You'll see people out in the belts, eyes bleary, F-keys worn down, trying to dig their way out of debt. -------------- Civis Ascendant Sum |

LMAO :P
Anyways it would also be nice to put my extra isk in the bank and let it grow a little, atm i have about 300mil of which i only use about 20mil for equipment and ammo, and i cant really go anywhere until i get bs 5 which will be awhile, so id like to be able to set some of that aside and let it grow for when i need it.
