Hey everyone!
I've completed all of the Agent career missions and also done all of the Mining Level 1 missions (I see I can do them again though). I'm not really sure what to do next. I aspire to be a miner if this helps. I'm a member of Brave Newbies Inc. (though I'm unsure if this is the right corporation for me) and I've read that they say to do the Sisters of Eve arc which is 22 jumps away from me, but not sure if this is the best thing for me to do. I apologise if this sounds really silly, but I feel like I've done everything I've read I should do and now I feel in limbo.
Thanks for the help!

My understanding is that brave is mostly a null sec PvP corp however I could be wrong my they have a mining division.
The SoE epic arc is a good starting point it helps you get experience in a lot of the basics in eve. Don't let the 22 jump worry you. That arc will take you all over new eden and back again.
I would say that probably the best thing that you can do is try a lot of different stuff out. If you have already minned maybe try exploration and then run some PvE combat like missions or anoms. Then maybe try out some PvP in various environments. You could roam with some of the twitch streamers that do newbie friendly roams and / or run with some of the NPSI fleets. You are in brave so you could just run out to null and try out some sov warfare.
Literally the universe is wide open to you. |

Thanks for the quick reply! If I was to make the 22 jump journey, I'd have no idea what to take. I did enjoy the exploration career missions so that may be something to look into as well. I just don't want to go into PVP and let people down, which may sound silly! |

Just take a combat ship with you. I don't recall exactly what's involved in the SoE epic arc I just remember some guy called something like Degan on the second to last mission or so that was hard for me to kill solo.
As far as not wanting to let people down that is silly but it does not sound silly. I sounds like a hold over from all the other games out there with structured PvP. If you were doing 3 v 3 arenas in WoW or doing even up one side versus the other kind of PvP like you see in CoD or any of the other games like that then maybe you'd have a point. However in Eve if you go on a roam with 10 guys and engage 3 other guys who have a dozen friends close by that jump in and help then that 11th guy (meaning you ) will be more than welcome. Even just as one more target for the opposing fleet to have to dps down you give the fleet something extra.
In eve it's usually a "The more the merrier" situation. You will not be holding anyone back and you will enjoy the game far more if you can let go of those kinds of ideas and just have fun. Not to mention be far more helpful and useful to your corp mates if you let go of your insecurities and just jump in head first with (w)reckless abandon.

Just to add on here the corp / alliance that you are in became famous for taking new players into null and getting them involved and productive in PvP right away. The only way that you could let a corp like that down is to sit in high sec and mine all day. |

Thank you for the help again. I think I will take my Thrasher and do the Sisters of Eve arc and take it from there for now. What you said about 'the more the merrier' makes a lot of sense after the way you described it. Thanks so much, the Eve community seems like a much nicer and welcoming community compared to others I have come across in the past :) |

The Eve community is like a two headed dildo. If you look at it one way it is a very loving sharing community. If you look at it another way everyone is trying to stick it to you. |

Ask your alliance mates about BOVRIL. I believe it is the mining focused corp in Brave.
Ask them a whole bunch of other stuff too. They want to help. The whole point of Brave is to get new players out of solo-hisec play and into the EVE community. |

Remember all can, nothing must in EvE. Try many things, be creative, have fun, if you start feeling obligated to do something which is not fun, do something else. Please expect that also from others, so thank your FC for the fleet regardless of the outcome.
...and don't get attached to your ships, they are disposable tools. Go cheap and reasonable, so you can maximize the fun/ISK.

Bovril is not the only industrial corp in BRAVE, but they are the largest. Bovril have a reputation for being non-typical miners, in that they also actively PvP. They are based out of F-88PJ.

I have been looking at the sub-reddit, but honestly didn't see that! Cheers for the information :) |
