I'd say the amount a new character starts with.
With station trading the limiting factor new characters usually have is the amount of isk they have.
On a more general note. Don't wait for 'x' amount of SP before you do something, just go do it. |

There really isn't a SP minimum for that. You can look in the market under skills and then trade and see what skills are available and what they do for you. In my opinion being successful at trade involves more knowledge of the game than skill points. However maybe if you are good at understanding markets and trade out of game you will excel at it quickly.
The skills that you will want to start off with are Things that reduce your costs and allow you more market orders You only need to get those as high as you need to get them which depends on your market strategy. Getting things like: Accounting, Broker Relations, Retail, and Trade up to level 3 should not take long at all.
But maybe you only plan on trading one thing like Veldspar so you only need the ability to set up 2 market orders but you want level 5 for the cost reducing skills since you are trading on very low margins. Maybe you want to put a **** ton of low ball buy orders up for items that mission runners loot but nobody is buying so you need a **** ton of active buy orders but don't need a lot of cost reducing skills since your margins will be huge. What skills you need depends on you so I can't answer that for you. |

Every time you sell something you will pay brokerage and taxes. These trading "frictions" can have a significant impact on your profits. Some beginning traders forget to account for them and end up trading at a loss.
Skills to reduce these are Broker Relations and Accounting. It also helps to have good standing with the corporation that owns the station you are trading in (i.e. Caldari Navy for Jita 4-4)
You don't need these at level 5 to start but you need to start training them if you want to make isk trading. |

Ok thx for your time :D You can start with the no special training, but you may want to train skills: * To allow you more orders: Trade, Retail, Wholsale, Tycoon * To reduce your costs: Accounting & Broker Relations * To allow you to place more orders with less ISK: Margin Trading * To allow you to place & manage orders at distant stations: Day Trading, Procurement, Marketing, Visibility

Magnius Dark wrote:How much SP would you recomend to start with Station trading ? Ok thx for your time :D Don't wait for any SP. The smaller market items where you will start tend to have large margins as they are not worth the time for professional traders. It's only when you get to the more competetive, high volume/ISK items where your fees will dictate your profits. Start building up your capital with the high-margin items, and keep training your trading skills so when you outgrow them your fees lower and you can compete with the higher ISK/day items. |

It's not about SP. You don't need much to station trade. The skills you need are trade skills - which govern the amount of orders/contract you can have going at any given time. The skills that reduce tax can also be valuable when dealing with tight margins. Just get a social implant and train away.
Your primary concerns are ISK (you need lots) and time (you need lots in order to study the market). |

You can start immediately. If I recall correctly you can get like around 30 available market orders in under a day's training time.
Don't wait on SP. You're dangerous.
