I have been learning manufacturing and collecting blueprints, trying to gather originals. I bought a contract in jita that had a bunch of stuff, mostly copies but there were a couple of originals. At least I thought there were. When I picked it up and looked at it again they were all copies. I haven't bought many contracts and when I do I check them out pretty good. Is there some way for someone to put up a contract like that? It shows it has originals but when you get it they are copies?

There are alot of contract scams - where things are mis-described. CCP has repeatedly made the contract ui easier to use and less subject to scamming - nonetheless it is still up to the buyer to read the contract closely to see if the items match the description. |

It had a crapload of bp's and I checked info on each one before I bought it. It was only 10mil isk, I was glad I started in with a cheap one and they weren't billion isk bp's just a frigate and cruiser that said org. One would say 3 runs left another 25 runs but two of them said original - infinite runs. Is there a hidden description somewhere that I missed where the issuer wrote "doe's not include original bp's"? Been a couple years since I played last and wanted to try something new. Is there a way to verify the contract has what it says? I thought when you issue the contract it automatically lists what you put into it, doe's when I put one up. I will be skilled up enough to start making my own t2 bp's soon so I won't use contracts to buy stuff if there's a chance they can be hacked/manipulated in some way. I've had chars since 07 and I know what the scams are this one just surprised me, if it's possable for players to alter contrats when or after the buyer gets it. I bought it the same day it was issued. /shrug |

Hi
I have a similar (bug?) that I've noticed when I link my BPC's to chat windows. Sometimes when you show info on it from the chat window it will show it as a BPO - infinite runs when it's actually some junk-bpc-3-run-random data loot.
The contracts window is still a bit sketchy. I bought a Magnate BPC from someone and I was actually reading it out loud to be sure that it was what he said it was and that's what it was in the contract 30 runs, max time and material efficiency, 1,500,000 ISK, One Million Five Hundred Thousand ISK
onepointfivemillion.
Okay! Deal! And it all worked out.
Though I do feel your pain, luckily it was just 10m.

Very difficult to say exactly what happened without having "seen it" as it was.
However, I would say this. Scamming is allowed. Exploiting bugs is not. It wouldn't do any harm to petition this one and see what CCP have to say about it. The worst that can happen is that you find it's tough luck and you are (luckily only) 10 mill out of pocket.

Ya I was and so were you :) . I figure any bpo of a descent ship I can get for at or under ten mil is a deal imo.
I've read the stuff out loud to MYSELF sometimes to make sure I got it right lol. Love this game and I feel like it's a brand new game everytime I come back. So many things to do, can't wait to get home. |

If you haven't already, expand the contract window so you can see the full text in all columns.
BPC clearly state they are copies in one column.
Also check the colour: BPC are light-blue, BPO are dark-blue.
Lastly, check the runs remaining. BPO are "infinite". |

Good advise. I will give it a shot ty.
It wasn't that bad a of a deal, still made a few mil selling some of it and lots of copies to make stuff with but it did kinda freak me out a little cause I thought contracts were totally safe. I learn something every time I log into this game which is pretty cool. |

Awesome ty.
I know I saw the infinite runs on two of em or I wouldn't even have bothered, they were the only reason I bought it. I want to experiment more with copies and research n stuff but also like Lulu said, sometimes when I look at them they say bpo one time then another they say copy. I just need to pay more attention to these puppies from now on and double-redouble-double check em :D |

Ok I think I got it now. First I enlarged the contract window and can see a column on the far right that clearly states copy or org now. Second after checking out a couple multiple item con's I would click on each bp for info like I did before. I knew these are all copy's before I checked info and on the third one the info window said original - infinite runs >< I'm pretty sure that's what happened to me Always spread out the window to see all the details first, check.
If this contract had been up for a week I wouldn't have even checked it because I figured nice bpo's don't go for 10mil but when I looked at it it had just been listed a few minutes before lol Lesson learned. (luv this game) |
