Alright. I've tried poking the shuttle located at the Star in Geztic. Poked it with a lot of ECM and made it fly erratically. I can't "push" it toward the star. Only away, "push" or "pull" with ECM.
I notice a few things though:
Nobody seems to have reported testing remote repair modules on it. Also, has anyone tried completely neuting it out? Smartbombs? Drones?
I've tried speaking binary at it, but either that doesn't work, or I wasn't using the right words in binary.
I've been at this for about 2 hours now, and I've tried a few additional ECM shenanigans.
I tried turning off ECM at under 100km, and it just slowboated back, instead of warping. If ECM fails or turns off above 90-100km, it ends up warping back.
The bracket in space (not overview) is labelled "The True Immortal" when you mouse over it. Why?
I may try some of this on the probe in Charmerout later. |

Could you maybe start with a proper introduction to your topic. Like.... what all this is. With some screenshots? :) Makes much more sense for everyone who doesn't live in Geztic or Charmerout. |

He would be referring to this I believe.
https://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Mysterious_Shuttle
What's contained on that page is just about all the information on it.
Edit: And info on the beacon https://evetravel.wordpress.com/2011/09/10/mysterious-beacon/
I've been to the shuttle and fiddled with it. No response of any sort. Never been to the beacon. |

There's actually a number of additional sections in the arek'jalaan pages about that shuttle and the experiments attempted to date. Hang on:

https://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Arek%27Jaalan_Mailing_List_W8:_Mysterious_Probe_in_Charmerout
These about cover it.
I'll try to get a screenshot of the in-space bracket tomorrow. I'm also considering remote repping, remote sensor boosting, or any other method of non-negative interfacing with the shuttle.
ECM disrupts it and causes it to move in any direction away from the sun. I'd like to see what else works.
And also what happens if you try to interface with the beacon instead of the shuttle.
EDIT: something about it reminds me of Ellen Ripley in the second Alien movie, Aliens. The way she drifts in a low-powered cryo tube in an escape shuttle though most of space before she is stumbled across by a salvage team.
Admittedly some of this has been tried before, but I'm curious to see what happens if the shuttle is neuted out, or has its magnetometric sensor strength improved, rather than disrupted. Possibly nothing. |

I can confirm that the Promised Land wormhole is still present and active; I checked it out on Wednesday.
I look forward to seeing the results of your testing; the mysteries surrounding the Shuttle and Probe have long rankled me.

I spent a lot of time perusing both yours and Rhavas' sites on various related (and not so related) topics. Thank you for plugging so much time and effort into such wonderful sites (wonderfully written, and great info sources too).
And thanks for confirming the presence of the Promised Land hole. These things make me wonder. |

I have attempted to cap out the shuttle (I checked using ship scanner). No change when 0 cap reached.
Either by nos or neut.
remote cap booster failed to initiate.
Ship scanner provided same data as reported. Ditto cargo scanner. Survey scanner, relic analyzer and data analyzer returned nothing, or failed to work.
Gallente ECM Jammers (magnetometric) jammed to a degree, but had difficulty holding jam. Currently testing caldari (gravimetric) jams. Easier jamming thus far - possibly related to shuttle racial type. Have tested broadcast of"Ping", "enheduanni" and "apotheosis" words, broadcast in binary, no response.
EDIT: Guess that shoots my magnets theory in the foot then. Racial jammer is doing a number on the shuttle at keeping it away successfully. That's either because it's caldari, or because gravimetric stuff does a number on the wormholes and such. |

The shuttle now has a notice on warp-in (this notice did not appear to me prior to this posting date).

I have not seen this appear before. Doesn't add much though. |
