Edited by: Authay on 21/11/2006 12:33:52 Hi I am wanting to setup a POS in 0.4 space for my corp and it's allies.
Currently we have a gallente standing on 1.01 on the corp level, I would like to ask for advice on how to best increase this standing to the required 4.0
I currently own a small gallente tower though am considering selling this in place of a medium gallente tower,
The current setup is 4 medium blaster trruents, 1 large blaster turret and 2 statis webs.
I dont want to be scramming people I just want the emphasis to be you muck about with the POS you get hurt, though maybe I should place a warp scram to prevent warp outs to repair then warp back in to deal more damage?
So please can some one answer the following:
1) Quickest way to raise gallente standings 2) Best setup for a "FO and leave me alone POS", I am tempted by the 85x modifier of artillery atm.
(And yes this is a main **** exlaimation mark)

Edited by: Contralto on 21/11/2006 14:28:34 Im afraid the only way is hard work. either all of your members need to get over 4.0 to the faction or some high some low, its averaged.
The easist way is courier missions leading to the storyline missions you need to speed up the Corp standings, but looking at the makeup of your corp somehow I dont think that will appeal :)
Normal combat missions in low sec will give standing increases but the actual missions take considerably longer.
Cosmos missions may be the answer, they are mostly combat with some courier and trade/mining thrown in. each cosmos mission will give the mission runner a big boost which in turn will transfer to the corp.
If the member with the highest standing to faction is made Ceo and runs Cosmos/storylines while all other members leave the corp you can achieve 4.0 in a matter of days. when up, he anchors the Tower and you all join again.
Takes me just one day to a 4.4 standing with a newly formed corp, but that is fast because my faction standing is 9.4.
Standings will hold as long as no one does any missions for any faction. But realistically with 11 members they will inevitably fall back.
This is not a major problem as you can still anchor/unanchor the weapons and arrays its just the tower that cant be re anchored.

Hi,
You didn't mention what the POS was for, whether it was for tactical reasons, production reasons, or mining. Has a moon already been selected and scanned? If not, or if you do not care about the contents of the moon, might I suggest just dropping back to a .3 system or lower, so as to avoid having to have a standings at all with the NPC corp, and also to avoid having to burn charters?
I've been running a POS in a 0.1 system for about... 4 months now, and find that aside from 0.1 systems generally being quieter than 0.4 systems and much safer, I also had the benefit of not needing any kind of standings with the faction in question, nor do I have to purchase charters.
Worth a thought..

I think the way forward may in this case to be found a 1 man corp and improve my standings that way,
it's only ment as a safe spot for friends anyway (to many snipers in low sec these days), untill I can afford a mobile labs to start doing ME on my BPO's with.
Now how to get on these "Cosmos" missions

Have fun. and remember they are not all just warp in shoot, loot, scoot and close. Some need expensive encryption and hacking skillbooks and the agents are not always where they are supposed to be and even may not be in game yet in some cases. Just research very carefully before accepting a mission or fail and your standings will plummet. ask in System local and in the mission forums for mission specific clues. Best start out with lvl 1 agents till you see if you are up to the challenge. (I have decided to give the higher lvl missions a miss, they make my brain hurt :)
