Is anyone else getting the annyoing cans in lower levels like "Big John is a punk" or "marvin was here" all this garbage Secure Containers.
Devs here is a solution
Develop Signs that can be Purchased and have a 2 week time expiration on them, that will make everyone happy.
Make Giant Secure containers only show the Persons or Corps name, and not have the option to rename and write a book.
thanks

Anything with a timed expiration date would require the database to examine each item at regular intervals to determine when they are deleted. Even if it only occurred at DT - it's still an extra load on the server.
The question is - is that load worse then the load experienced with the current use of cans as signs?

Im no expert but it would end the reign of cans placed in Belts from players long gone. Thats the main issue i have with cans, they annoy. Heck even when secure cans would have a duration of one month it would still be a huge relieve.
And ince CCP has now taken care of the BM problem they now can solve the Can problem, im confident of this

Sorta like the load a POS has when it sends low fuel emails every hour?
C'mon, not that much of an addition to load...
