Really I don't know why this hasn't been made possible already . I would be nice if we could group modules of the same type just like turrets, target painters, webs, tracking computers, cap transfer, RR modules, energy vampires etc |

I believe at the time they were planning on doing that but that seems to have gotten lost in the shuffle somewhere...
I mean i imagine bhaalgorn pilots might like stackable neuts for example... |

It is almost certainly a code limitation on why its not done now. But yea anything to free up the ui and make it less click and more strategic.
However i often have my guns in 2 sets. I would never group my nuets on a bhal (you stagger cycles once they are nueted out). Also webs i would probably never stack either.
In fact grouping *different mods* to one hotkey would help my gameplay more. Like web+painter. Web+scram etc....

What for? Not saying No, but better to hear some valid arguments for asking feature.
For example, Why do i need to stack my TP's if i want to point two different targets ? Or i'd like to have two tracking computer but with different scripts. Or if i a Bhaal pilot i want to carefully manage my own cap and having 7 neuts activated at on time just got me into a big trouble. etc etc. |

Not really as staggering your neuts is still better. You want to keep your enemy dry, not dry him up then let him turn back on his tank because he freely regen for a few seconds. The same apply to reps with the added bonus of repping different target at the same time. cap transfer too since using them at the same time is a good way of generating nothing if the cap pool was full on that tick. |

There are more cases of not wanting grouped modules than wanting them. Most the time it's much more useful to stagger as suggested above than spam all the things. -1 because pilots should fly their own ships.

Not against the idea, but to limit the amount of groupable mods make it top row only. Group larger nunbers of guns for more assignable slots, or not. A modicum of balance.

but everyone also knows having your guns NOT grouped is stupid - another newbie trap, but it's still allowed...... personally, for PVE purposes, and because I'm a poor PVP'er, I'd like to be able to burst all my webs/reps/ECM's in one go, and then unstack them and fiddle them after that. it would be a good 'opportunity' on CCP's new tutorial thing -
stack all your turrets/launchers stack ewar/logistics modules unstack e-war/logistics modules mid fight
but yeah. I don't see why we shouldn't have this.... but I do see why a lot of the best PVP'ers wouldn't use it......
For posting an idea into F&I:
come up with idea, try and think how people could abuse this, try to fix your idea - loop the process until you can't see how it could be abused, then post to the forums to let us figure out how to abuse it.....
If your idea can be abused, it [u]WILL[/u] be.
