I'd like to see the whole picture but unless they drastically changed everything else that is the best news I've heard for a long time... Hp increase will favour active tanks on Battlecruisers and the Drake were not exactly spitting fire (more like drooling with the last nerf). If the Drake can at least compete efficiently the other tier 1 BC's in damage I'll be happy... It all has to be balanced ofcourse but this is a good thing

there is no way that this goes live with ships having 400 calibration points

The Hype and Abaddon are awesome with 3 grid rigs. Fixes everything wrong about the ship. And grid rigs got buffed too: 10% per rig like they used to be instead of 5%.

This is good. Remind me of the penalty grid rigs give?

Why? 400 lets you fit one t2 good one and one t1/t2 crappy one, or two decent ones.

Bout time you took my advice and started using your rigs to make up for the holes in ships. :)
I seem to remember you calling me stupid when I told you to look at rigs that way!

Yes it is stupid. Because like most people said already: you fix ship with rigs. Others (whose ships are OK) boost em - and STILL are ahead.

Untrue because every ship has a hole somewhere.

When you told me to 'look at rigs' IIRC you specifically were referring to damage rigs, which are basically useless for an efficient fitting, and I **WAS** using grid rigs at the time, it's just that each grid rig did a 5% increase per rig, and I was only able to fit two of them. Now I can fit 3 10% rigs.
It's not that I'm incompetent, it's just that I have to deal with the current limitations. You seem to think that you can think of ways to look at the problem that are outside my scope of perception. This couldn't be further from reality. In fact I'd venture to say that I've already thought of just about every decent idea you have come up with and then some.
It's extremely annoying when people continue to make all these mundane boring gradeschool suggestions like I hadn't already thought of that immediately and dismissed it as unworkable for some reason. If I don't use it, its not because I haven't thought of it, but because I have thought of it and have already disgarded it for something worthwhile.
Because I said so...

And you're correct. While I'm wasting my rig slots 'fixing' the Hype, the Rokh is using it's rig slots to vastly improve it's tank or ECM etc.

Considering that things such as weapon rigs are 200 points for a t1 rig, and 300 for a T2, I dont see why not?

Damage rigs on a Rokh = sexy.
Then again, damage rigs on a tachaddon, hello wtfpwnage alphastrike?

I guess you still don't get it. It's a shame, really. The megathron and the hyperion will both beat the snot out of the rokh. But you just go ahead and keep believing the gallente battleships are crap and that you're wasting rigs and that the rokh is so wonderful and has no weaknesses.
