Is it just me or is it impossible to get a copy slot without having to wait at least 2 weeks? Kind of annoying if you only need one for 1 minute >_> |

Most copy, ME, PE and invention slots are used 24/7.
Sometimes even manufacture slots are all in use.

It's mostly ME/copy that are the bottlenecks (in most regions, especially once you get away from Jita). They're the top two reasons to put up a POS tower in hi-sec.
PE slots are easy to find - unlike ME research, most people don't do excessive amounts of PE research. For instance, something where you want 25 ME 5 PE, you need 5x as long in a ME research slot vs a PE research slot.
Invention slots are generally easy to find, but there are only 20 in a station. So you may have to get away from the trade hubs to have easy access to those in a hi-sec station.
Manuf slots (50 per station) are also easier to find as you move away from trade hubs. |

As Scrapyard says: move away from hubs and you will find plenty of free slots with the exception of ME research. Some low-sec systems even have free ME slots within a few days. |

This has been mentioned many times before, but there's no solution short of creating an infinite number of slots available to the public.
They could double or triple the number of slots available as of now, and within a few weeks, it'd be the same situation, big queues as people simply start using them more. Eventually it might settle down again as the market gets flooded, but there's no guarantees of that
Hunt around, try different regions, and check out low-sec, there's normally some fairly quiet labs, and as long as you're careful, you should be ok. |

Planning on getting a small pos somewhere, but as it stands now they cost about 300m a month to run for a small one... Either fuel is more expensive than i remember or fuel blocks havent dropped far enough yet. |

If your going to use a PoS, I would suggest go for a large one over a small or medium. Sure it costs more, but once you get going with research/invention/manufacturing you will find you run out of PG/CPU. Or atleast i did and just went to a large for the flexibility. Also should you decide to run more than 1 character doing stuff att eh PoS, having a large one means you can use the characters to their full potential. As you said already, the downside is the fuel cost, but if you do it right, you will easily cover fuel costs and make bank. |

Yeah, that tends to be the big barrier to entry for having a presence in space, the lower threshold for fuel costs is pretty high and you have be a fairly dedicated player to break even.
And now with the PI taxes, fueling your own POS without having to inject ISK is a lot more difficult. It used to be you could do almost the entire chain with only the loss of opportunity cost.. now, not so much. |

Fuel blocks will be overpriced for at least the next 2-3 weeks.
Estimated prices: (millions of ISK/30d, S/M/L towers, fuel pellet price with no mark-up)
Amarr: 119 / 221 / 425 - 14768 ISK/u Caldari: 121 / 225 / 435 - 15099 ISK/u Gallente: 189 / 362 / 708 - 24578 ISK/u Minmatar: 122 / 227 / 438 - 15225 ISK/u
Prices for the above:
Coolant - 11.7k Enriched Uranium - 14.0k Mech Parts - 11.8k Oxygen - 529 Robotics - 83.9k HW - 220 Isotopes - 437-483 (Oxytopes at 1419) LOz - 461
Old vs new Consumption (assuming a ME40 BPO of the fuel blocks and Production Efficiency V skill):
Coolant - 2/4/8 to 2/4/8 Enriched Uranium - 1/2/4 to 1/2/4 Mech Parts - 2/3/5 to 1/2/4 Oxygen - 7/13/25 to 5/10/20 Robotics - 1/1/1 to 0.25/0.50/1.00 Heavy Water - 38/75/150 to 38/75/150 Isotopes - 113/225/450 to 100/200/400 Liquid Ozone - 38/75/150 to 38/75/150
So Mech Parts consumption went down. Oxygen went down. Robotics was even or down. Isotopes went down. |

Also, on a large tower, I tend to base my per-hour rates on the assumption that you'll be keeping 60 slots busy (between ME/copy slots which are at a premium). The invent/PE/manuf slots I value at a lower level, they still get factored in to the slot rate calculation, but at a reduced price (usually 1/2 the price of the ME/copy slots).
So for ME/copy slots: 430M ISK / 30d / 24h / 60 slots = 9950 ISK/hr
Not sure how others set their rates. For profit calculations, I'll be more pessimistic and assume 20% higher slot fees. |

Yeah, pretty much. ANY useful slots are gonna be in use. Either put your BPO in the queue and wait, or find a moon to put a PoS on and do it before you're wardecced. |

Here's an idea. Although I don't have any copy slots I have a lot of available ME, PE and Invention slots that I can rent out to people at my Large Caldari tower. Why has this not EVER been implemented?
It's not like it is not possible as I now pay another Corp to use their PCO for Planetary Interaction or is it the CCP just implements features that cause conflict?
