You guys are always stressed out talking your politics and screaming at each other...
Can't we chill the **** out and have a friendly discussion thats not stress inducing for once?
Lets talk about our favorite holo games! Or some of the newly announced holo games coming out next year
You guys see that trailer for "Call of Money: Ancient warfare 61"? i tell you, the Cat A.I in that game looks legit as ****, Also it seems they are gonna do things differently this time as now you can hop over obstacles...I mean..this is the new kinda **** that changes game play right? Im already trying to come up with strats on how to utilize this new feature to the game
Also the pre-order deal is pretty good, if you order it now you can get the "reloading" function DLC free and a gold plated skin for the Khuumak...
What do you guys think? |

Any of you place Space: Rise of Empires? Its a turn based RTS that lets you build up interstellar nations from wandering bands, developing all their technology as you go, from stone tools to spaceships. I really enjoy how vast the scale is, it really lets me get my micromanagement grove on.
Also confirming pre-orders are a scam.

I'd love to see something aimed at we capsuleers, fast paced enough to challenge our cerebral capacity.
Sometimes the space between jump gates is deathly boring being able to network and play live against other capsuleers would be really nice.
I don't suppose we are a big enough market for any of the big game companies but an indy developer might accept that challenge.
They could make it foolishly expensive because we can afford it ... lol.

It's probably not wise to say this in public but I'm a fan of nation building games, though not quite as much the RTS variety. I have played quite a lot of Space: Rise of Empires and it's fun but I prefer the grand strategy game Caldari Primus. You control one of a few dozen major (and loads more minor) states starting in the 16399 on Caldari Prime and play through 16821 (there are DLCs that enhance certain time periods like the Cathura Rebellion or add events for individual states). It's good fun if you're into that sort of thing, I prefer the early to midgame since that's when your situation tends to be most precarious and the cutthroat statecraft happens. Later game ends up being dominated by the Raata Empire (the big blue blob it's called due to its prominence on the map).
If I only have a few minutes to unwind and I choose a game to do it I'm not above some Call of Money or Ring Station. Not very lordly but there you have it.

No time for such amusements, personally.
Though I do believe Shelby spends a lot of time playing GTA5. Grande Theft Amarr, or something. Not sure how it works but I've walked in on her playing it before after the noise woke me. She uses some Matari avatar, an escaped slave or something, running around inside an Imperial station, shooting baseliners while stealing docked spacecraft to escape.
I really don't know. Hrmm. Maybe a little violent but I limit her datapad time enough already. She's a big girl now, I guess.
I prefer to spend such time talking to friends, drinking coffee, looking at old photos or just... thinking.

I've been playing a little Professional: Hostile. It's a space fighter sim, where you accrue credit to get bigger fighters to accrue more credit.
I'm currently rocking a Viper, which is nothing more then a renamed Templar fighter. For licence and copy right reasons I'm assured.

I often unwind by playing simulations of atmospheric flight. The feedback is so unlike space; it's an entirely more visceral kind of experience.
It helps me feel more connected to those planetside, and, in a strange way, to nature. To act like a flying creature...perhaps it sounds a bit silly. But my mentor taught me that balance of perspective is important.

We will admit we are not so savvy as to own a Super Wyrkomi Gaming System, or anything of the sort.. though we may have read somewhere that the cartridges have seating difficulty or some similar technical issue.. gosh. We feel sorry for anyone who has Legend of Zyndrine: 3D Mining Action and are unable to get it working. We have peered into the local Arcade/Mass Hall and seen the Amarr kids with the fancy head plates playing C1Z1.. just seems like pod pilots running around naked and beating each other with clubs..
We may have acquired a copy of the Gallente pulp 50 Shades of Anoikis.. a rather scandalous kind of story where a precocious Intaki Bantam pilot falls head over heels for a Drifter with some.. well.. darker sadistic desires. We are not reading it of course.. the local Holder wives have a monthly Botox / book burning party and we thought this would be the perfect item to bring.
When we are not whipping ourself or thumping our headpiece into a wooden tablet with the Words of our Faith, we are on our smartphone playing Fallout Shelter, though we wouldn't be caught doing that autopiloting in our Capsule, if you know what we mean.

I still have an old copy of Planets from like 112 that I fire up sometimes.
It's sort of a procedural sandbox exploration and building game. You start as a survivor of a wormhole collapse in an unknown region with a basic ship with no jump drive, explore the planet and the moons and the whole system, dicover things, upgrade the ship, build a shelter and eventually your own small colony, like that. If you manage to rescue other survivors stranded in escape pods, they can breed and populate the planet, and in a week or two of play there'll be a little random cvilization of your own. Never got to that stage, though.
Sure, I could probably do most of that in real life, but in game it takes hours instead of decades

Also confirming pre-orders are a scam. I play that! Can confirm that starting on fireworks is not a valid tactic. I always pre-order, though, and I was surprised to see all the hate for it in here. Preordering and DLC allows me to show support for my favourite brands and companies!

The concepts behind pre-orders and DLCs isn't too bad, I'm a capsuleer, its not like I can't afford it, but I prefer to wait for the company to have a completed game before I give money to them. Too many half finished products with 20 ISK DLCs for waving.
Any of you like Battleframe? It came out before the DUST programme went public, but its kind of like that. You're this incredibly powerful soldier with power armour and guns and swords and you just get sent on missions to plow through hundreds of mooks, its fun in a mindless sort of way.
