Well, the new instant transitions are an improvement. But they don't really work instantly for me because the map does not remember that it is supposed to be flattened and supposed to STAY flattened. I don't know about everyone, but me and those people I know all use exclusively the flattened map since the 3D version might be pretty but isnt practical. So when I open the map on a new build that has reset my settings again, the first thing I do is flatten the map. Worked fine on TQ so far, one click and it is done and stays that way. On Sisi, now if I flatten it and close the map, it unflattens the map before closing (making the transition anything but instant). And when I open it next time, it is again unflattened. The 'unflatten map' button still seems to think it is flattened as it should be (that button is smarter than the map itself) so I have to click it twice to actually get back my flattened map. Doing that everytime I open the map is starting to get a wee bit annoying... Unneccessary eye candy is a waste of resources in the first place imho, but as long as it is just that it is tolerable and I guess some kids like it. But if it starts to detrimentally affect my gaming experience like now I am really starting to think wth they had to push that stuff on us... --------- ZOMG my sig was concordokkened! If the button doesn't change to "Flatten" when it is unflattened to you then it's definitely a bug. Hope they fix that before the patch cause I use Flattened map all the time too.

It's listed as a known issue, so I guess no fix for now. And the 3D view isn't just "pretty lights", it's the setting that jump ranges are calculated from.

I would pay the OP much mind. He's got some sort of instinctual problem with the map in general. Not to mention he can't seem to bring himself to use his own previously created Map thread to post about the map.
Oh noes.... he must be the OP in a completely new, and apparently useless, thread. Let's try to minimize excessive threads people? Half a day left before the withdrawal starts.
Let's stay sane-like till then.
PS: Leandro, formatting. It's not just for the web... wait this is the web. NVM... Still give it a try.
Protagonist must have an Antagonist. Otherwise he's just a guy playing with himself.
