Well, this is nice. One big thread for hundreds of possible topics.
Anyhow, I was quite surprised at how smooth the deployment went. Anticipated disconnects and lag, but much more than I have gotten. Good job.
now for the complaining
Scanner: What is really going on here? I am an avid user of the directional scanner. I spent months mastering both range and angle, and the tool I used most was rather simple...A graphic to the upper left that showed my position in the solar system in conjunction with the warpable points. WHERE IS IT??? How am I to use a directional scan properly if I am unaware of my position in the solar system?

Contracts. The removal of escrow and its replacement with the more complex "contracts" is all fine and dandy...but why are we not allowed the option to view "all regions". Not only have you effectively made it harder for traders to have their goods seen, you make it harder for the consumer to find the goods.
give us "view all" again...the economy will thank you.

You didn't mention the lack of Recon Probe Launchers in the last update. Please tell me that the scanning system wasn't changed and left us with a launcher that's gimped.
I seriously did not enjoy training to astrometics 5 to have a 500 second scan time. Not to mention the Snoop probes only have a life span of 300 seconds.
Somebody dropped the ball, and this change should of waited until everyone had their act together. --
Lag is kinda like CYVOK, it kills as many friendlies as hostiles... |

I just wanted to say this IS ONE BIG BUG wrecks WOULD be nice idea if it work.. I dont know if it was a bug but.. I couldnt loot container in missions..
and this 0km ? thanks alot i spent a ton of time getting my skills to fly faster.. and doing Book Marks.. crap just doesnt make any sence at all..
I dont think Dev at CCP think about anything..

I'm afraid this isn't going to be a very constructive post, but so far, Revelations is absolutely awesome. I was patched and in bang on time as promised, and the changes are breathtaking. I'm staggered by the scope Revelations brings to Eve.
One criticism; it's 6am and I've only just dragged myself, very unwillingly, from TQ. I can see many of these late nights/early mornings in the near future...
Seriously, great, great work, and best of luck in sorting out the issues some people are experiencing.

wreakage problems. this needs to be fixed asap for mission runners. you kill a rat, wreckage drops. loot the wreckage and it remains. in addition you're not allowing us to rename them. there is no way to identify what you've looted and whats still full of loot. aside from destroying the looted wreckage, no distinction can be made from looted and non-looted wreckage. some of us who run missions constantly use an industrial to pick up the loot afterwards. this is very frustrating. please rectify this asap.

Right-click in space, hit "show system in map browser". The bottom screen in the bar is the system, and shows your current field of view and scan angle.

As for what I hate already: WRECKS.
PLEASE make them a new overview icon and category for empty wrecks. I don't want to salvage them and waste slots on salvage equipment. I just want to grab the loot and leave, without having to deal with the annoyance of inspecting all the empty wrecks and blowing them up just so I know what I've looted.

I can't even start the game. I uninstalled then reinstalled all of EVE and same thing again and again. Screen shot is at link below, but basically it says Eve failed Logo verification for windows. Then I click ok and it says; my D3DX is missing? says "This application has failed to start because d3dx9_30.dll was not found. re-installing the application may fix this problem.

Overall great stuff, but here are some issues, mostly map related... the wreck issue was already brought up, so I won't mention that again :)
- flat map doesn't stay flattened when map is closed, but button still thinks it is
- flat map needs to flip about its z axis when zooming in to a system, making it take much longer to get in
- switching map levels often causes the zoom level of the next level down to be stuck zoomed way too far out (e.g. when i'm in the ship level, I can't zoom in all the way to my ship, but can only soom in to the 20km or so range) I can't reliably reproduce this, though.
- The map often gets confused as to what state it's in after the transition; for example, i'm now looking at a map where everything is extremely dark and faint -- systems appear barely as a dark pixel, and lines are invisible. (Security status set for stars, all lines for lines.) It looks like the way the map looks like at a step of the transition.. if I zoom in the lines become more visible, but they're still extremely dark.
- Warp To button in overview appears on everything, not just distant objects (orbit used to be in its location, now it's one over).. this might not be a bug, just a change.

Havent seen this mentioned anywhere else.
I know that T2 precision cruises were getting a nerf in flight time etc - but ive noticed that the stats stay the same whether theyre mounted in a launcher or not. Almost as if the skills and bonuses are not being applied to them.
Ive double checked this with standards and precisions in and out of launchers and the results are the same every time.
Hopefully its an oversight, or CCP have just launched T2 missiles - for me at least - into the realm of "why bother with them at all?"

I got the d3dx missing msg on each of my pc's but all started except one. I have to clear the argument box 20 or 30 times and then nothing. ================================================

So I accepted a courier contract, picked up the item, docked in the station it told me to go to, put the item in my hangar, and went to go complete the mission, but there's no button to complete the mission. I also have a message pop up whenever I go to the contract browser saying one of my contracts (I only have this one) requires your attention. I go to it, but everything looks in order: I have the item where it needs to go, and there's still no complete/fail button available.

Contracts:
It is nice to have all kinds of filter options but what I can not seem to be able to do is when I am wading through all forms of contracts in the entire region is sort by:
- Alphabetical name of items being auctioned/sold - Price - Issue time
This makes contracts seem to be exteremely unorganized and I cant make heads or tails of what deals are available to me in an orderly fashion.
I might be overlooking things so if there is a way to sort them like I mentioned can somone please enlighten me?

crash to desktop when i exit warp next to stargate.
read the known issues, i liked the whole 'dual proc issue' suggestion and had an idea to get rid of it...... till i turned my hyperthreading off and still can only be in game till my AP'd ship leaves warp next to the stargate and CTD's
sure hope you all figure it out soon. did look nice and smooth until i tried to leave system , now i'm kinda stuck.

Respectfully, please seed Recon Probe Launcher I's and the BPO for it and the other probes that you promised would be in Kali I. As it is now, with probe changes, 3 AU probes don't function, and thus, instead of having easier scanning, we now can't scan at all. 3 AU probes last for 5 mins, it takes 6 to scan, resulting in no results. Please seed the mod / bpo. Please.
That's all I ask.

I had the same problem early in testing on sisi..
Went away in later test patchs.. werid your seeing that now.. does the whole screen turn white except a few things?

WRECKS suck... period. THey are giving me a stomache ache, they are slowing down looting. Have to unlock after every round of tractors, I'm having a hard time remembering what ships are looted and not. And I've gotten a considerable drop in FPS during missions...
- Add a Unluck ALL command - Add color coding to tell what wrecks have been looted. - Pay my medical bills for stressrelated pains.

I don't know if My issue is going to be lost in the Mountain of things people have been talking about, but I don't know how else to address it, so I'm giving this a shot.
I've just logged in, and have found that my character is actually LESS skilled now than a starting character. While I have 100k less skill points than an alt I had made, I'm also sitting on 3s where my mook-nobody alt has 4s and 5s. I believe that new characters were given more skillpoints to give new people a jumpstart into the game, but I'm feeling pretty jaded that the Month I've spent on the character has served only to get me to a point that an out-of-the-bag character can achieve.
Having looked at my records, I can't see any increases in my MAIN character's skills, where my alt characters have new 4s and 5s!!
I realise the obvious response to this is: "Play one of your alts!!" but I've played my MAIN character because it's the Character I WANTED to play. It now seems that the month I've invested in the character can be bypassed simply by creating a newer, and BETTER character.
Maybe I'm missing something, but I feel as though it's been a wasted month, and I'm not too keen on having wasted the time, (or the money I'm paying,) simply to be less-than-par when compared to a new character.
Perhaps it's not much to worry about when you look at the sheer number of players in the game, but I'm not so sure I'll continue playing if the work I'm putting into the character is simply going to be overshot by the next patch, in which new characters will be more advanced than mine... It's left a foul taste in my mouth.
If there's a way to contact a GM or representitive in the game, I've not found it. My previous petitions have been ignored, and gone unanswered.
Please send some word, perhaps some explanation as to the reasoning behind the changes. I'd hate to leave the game because of my own ignorance regarding WHY the changes have happened.
I appreciate your time.

I already lost a large sum of money because of this issue but because "Server Side" doesn't show anything, the GM assiting my petition did a "Tuff Stuff" response with out really addressing the issue. Just because something can't be seen server side doesn't mean there isn't something wrong. I don't appreciate being brushed off and my issue not fully addressed.
Image going into a car dealership and your car doesn't make right hand turns. The dealer hooks your car up to the diagnostic system and says, "We can't see anything wrong from our end, you'll just have to live with left hand turns. I hope all goes well with you and this isn't too big of a set back."
As a consumer, I find that an unacceptable answer. I understand CCP has bigger issues on the table at the moment but treating your consumer base, however nice you phrase your reponse, like dirt, isn't a key selling factor in my book.
Leaves a real sour taste in your mouth.

Whenever I warp to a gate the client crashes me to the desktop. This guy has the same problem but his post was locked. I've reinstalled normal video drivers and the EVE client, twice. I still can't even make it out of warp at a gate before I'm staring at my desktop.
For more info here's my hardware: A64 3200+ Saphire X800GTO Fireblade edition 1GB Generic RAM <--my first guess etc.
Please help me with this real issue instead of listening to the "zomg no _____ BPOs, u suck!111" posts. Thanks.

As much as I like the Gal models I would much rather see a more broad tactical field. Every time I undock I have to zoom out with mouse wheel and expand drones in bay and drones in local. Why can it not remember the settings you docked with if you are in the same ship? Now it seems that the default camera distance changes back to zoomed in each time you jump from one system to the other. Is CCP trying to kill my mouse wheel? Really, who wants their whole screen taken up by their own ship by default?
Wrecks are a royal pain to collect. You tractor beam the wreck in and open it. Not only do you have to turn off your beam (which was as it was before), but instead of that satisfying pop you have to close the empty wreck contents screen. Then it is difficult to tell the difference between a collected wreck and another uncollected wreck close by.
I don't mean to sound negative. Overall it seems like a very successful upgrade. The default camera distance thing changing between gates: thats gotta go. It would make me pull my hair out. If I had any.
