Im really think it stink that 1 month play on my Character is kinda wasted, as so far as i could get approximately the same amount of skill points creating a new Character. Thank you for feeling wasted my time finding out what to train and wait for it to happen.
I got 860000 skill point, if i create a new character i would have 809000.
I can now be blasted out of the sky by any newb or twink without warning. Dont you think that some kind of compensation would have been fair?

The difference is that you have the skill points exactly where you want them, you have greater experience of the game, and you have a month's earned ISK.

On patch day I had like 860,000 SP spread across 39 skills. I can use stuff that NO 1st day account will have 800K SP or not. Besides I'll always know I earned my first 800K the old fashion way.

My old 125k SP hauler alt that hasn't trained squat in months got buffed to almost 860k SP in a single stroke. Even better the skills given to her shaved over a week off of her freighter training that'll happen later on next year. I'm happy.

I'm 31 days old.... gained 200,000SP from the patch. Plus I have 9 mill in the bank. I think I'm a bit better off than a new player.

So you want every character created before this patch to get +800k sp? (And yes it would have to be everyone, as I playing nearly from day one didn't get those extra sp's either.)
Compensation would be in place if you LOST something. You didn't. The n00bs gain something. Quite a difference.

IF anyone cared to read the devblogs you would know that all characters with less than 800k sp have been compensated in skill points to bring them up to at least 800k sp ----

Quote: We compensate characters that have already been created (using the old system) and have less than 800.000 SP. Characters with more than that will not be affected. This will happen when the servers go down for the Revelations patch.

Quote: 2.2- Operation: Revelations compensation The Mission: To compensate people that have less skill 800.000 skill points when we upgrade to the new character creation.
Every character that has less than 800.000 SP will receive skills until he has more than 800.000 SP. Characters created a week before we patch will thus have the same amount of SP as new characters, or more. They will naturally also have the advantage over completely new characters of more ISK and of course experience.
The upside of giving every character this treatment (including inactive characters sharing accounts with a ômainö character) is that everybody feels the love. Players that have been playing for a while will always have an advantage on freshly created characters, be it in ISK or simply in gaming experience. 2.2.1- How we will do this We have made a list of the primary skills of each school existing characters graduated from when they were created (Hedion University, Royal Imperial Institute, etc.). When we patch, we will go through them in order with each character and add skill levels to the skills listed in the order specified until the characters end up inside the 800-810.000 skill point range. There is some possibility that some old characters might go above that - It'll be like winning a lottery and we'll let it slide.
Research your topic ftw

So today I have two times skill points I did have. One new skill at a level of 5 and 3 more at a level of four.
And I get nice big clone to save my new skills.
I am happy. Thank you CCP for nice present.

I thought id create a new character for fun.
So did on Singularity.
I then got 805000 SP ish
I had a level 5 skill. And Then I tried to train another skill that I was given which was at level 4!
It said engineering needs to be on level 3 to train this. So my issue here is that we can have skills even if we dont have the correct skills to train them!!! Also I have a question.
I created a char 3 months ago and didnt train anything. Will i be affected by extra sp? or will i be the only player on like 10k sp?

I don't remember why it felt like an awesome accomplishment for me to finally get to 800k skillpoints.
It was probably because i could fly the marvelled Thorax to some effect.... back then.
I'm afraid noobs are being pampered with this 'upgrade'. I haven't tested it yet, but i'm quite sure a noob can just hop into a Ferox now and start 'farming'. I don't think that's right.
God was i happy when i got my first 'million' lol. I even told my corp mates I had 1 million now and they should take me seriously, same for my skillpoints.
Now it all means nothing anymore. New players are instant money makers/fighters/industrial types
I find this deplorable.

Right before the upgrade, I had 495K skill points.
Now I have 860K.
Nothing major has changed - I seem to have had some skills elevated (I think I was already going down the right path).
I don't feel cheated, however. I've already seen that SP is not the major factor in this game - it's how you play.
Even if you gave some players 100 million SP, it wouldn't solve their stupidity problem.

I find it very sad that the only thing you've achieved in Eve is to acquire SP and that your gaming experience amounts exactly the same as that of a new player undocking for the first time.

See it this way:
When you invite a real life buddy to Eve you can get him doing useful things much earlier and therefore have more fun yourself as well.
