The larger Sansha ships seem to have the smaller spikes. Can we please get some fearsome spikes on these monstrosities?

I'd like to see sansha get some love in the model and effects department
Suggestion Pic
Additionally I'd like to see them all get a nice V5++ skin that doesn't look so out of place. Much like what I have on the forums
HERE
Sansha BC or dessy should look like THAT
The Nightmare looks like sansha took his other hulls and shoved a stick through their midsection and called it a BS. Remodel it...keep it vertical but make it good! |

Seconded. Sansha boats ought to strike fear into the hearts of their victims. This would only do that better.
"Tomahawks?"
"----in' A, right?"
"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."
"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."

I really hope to see "spike" fleet someday , and not the constant complains of FC "why you want to take this useless ship" They're useful, they're just expensive. A lot of people fly Sansha ships but it's usually in PVE. The Nightmare is popular for incursion running due to its afterburner bonus. These ships would do well in PVP if people wanted to fly that shiny.

It's like the sheen on top of a puddle of water in the road that has picked up motor oil from the road surface.
I believe that last image is of the Sansha Destroyer, which can be seen in-game as certain Sansha NPCs. The models are built, we just need to finally have the ships given to players!

Yes Iridescent thank you. Though I was thinking the vent exhaust should be like from some of those industrial stations or like from the exhumers with puffs of gas...though I'd like it to be a steady flame like a hotrod when AB/MWD is active. |

They beat out even such heresy as a rail fit vindicator in the 60-70km sniper range basket, leaving the only real competition as the paladin, which needs to be shiny fit to make tank and still compete.

I'd like to add to this and say let us put corpses on said spikes. A little Firefly reaper nod. Just imagine cruising around with corpses impaled on your ship....Would EVE still quality for the ESRB rating of T for teen then though?
People with corpse collections would finally have something to do with them!

People with corpse collections would finally have something to do with them! I think it would be even more morbid to have impaled ships. Nobody cares about flesh these days, ships are our bodies.

Agreed. Lore point of view, Sansha is one scary badass. His ships should represent that instead of looking awkwardly ugly.

Well as long as it's a poop on a stick, can the stick at least look like a spike, skewering the rest?

I just don't see spikes and blobs as scary.... I see it as.... well... lame.... A Vindicator is scary. A Bhaalgorn is scary. It's not just the paint, it's the design. It LOOKS built to impose. The NM and other Sansha ships.... they're just...... trying too hard really.
Take something like the warhammer 40k Imperium of Man build. It looks brutal. Built to give 0 F***s about you shooting it and intent on ripping your tiny ship apart, either with its guns or just by ramming you. To me, scary stopped being spikes and baubles years ago. To me, scary is something that looks to be designed to be indomitable from start to finish, unstoppable, recognizing nothing in the dark skies as its master. Sansha ships just don't do it for me. MAYBE the succubus. The others are all just trying too hard.

Well, that's your point of view. My personal feelings on the matter are that these Sansha ships are the most fearsome creations in the game and by no small margin. It's not something likely to ever change about me given how many years, or decades even, I've felt this way about similar things.
So I guess what I'm trying to say is you can go fly something other than Sansha ships. If you aren't one to appreciate their hull design philosophy, then why are you posting here? Does it hurt you that Sansha ships exist in this game?

You should proceed carefully. As of yet I've been politely discussing ship design with you and thread. Keep posting with those mannerisms and we'll talk about how any one can post on any thread, and the burden to prove Sansha ships need to look meaner is on you and they are good enough as they are, not worth dev time, etc. Or how every idea you personally post gets shot down because they are all crap.
WHY am I posting here? Because frankly I'd like to see all the sansha art assets thrown out and redone. WHY am I posting here? Because this is an open thread on the Eve forum. Don't like it? Go back to reddit.
I did not at any point say I think so therefore it is. I said Sansha ships never appealed to me and more spikes would only make it worse. Yeah, that's my opinion. I never purported it as anything else. Your Opinion is they need more spikes. Well, that's just your opinion. Does it hurt you that they aren't spiky enough, are underwhelming and confused? Why are you posting here when you know this is just one more thing to get shot down?
So you can either be civil or carry on, at which point things are gonna get a whole lot worse for you. Your choice Reaver.

I've got an idea. Give the spikes purpose by hiding the turrets in the spikes, such that the spikes appear to be the lasers. Cool looking, gives purpose to the thematic spikes, and shows off sansha as one scary dude who figured out how to do much better beam bending than anyone else.

You speak of me not being civil when it is yourself jumping to the offensive. Perhaps you'd like to see Sansha ships redesigned entirely, and this can be a decent thread to mention that, but it is off-topic to suggest they be given make-overs in completely new directions when this thread's title and original post is specific to the sort of Sansha make-overs we are talking about here.

I'm not sure how the lasers would be made to track targets and still fit with the spikes, but if it could be done, I should enjoy seeing it!

L2read. Sansha makeover is sansha make over, regardless of how. It is completely on topic whether you think so or not. And baiting with crap like does it hurt you or why are you posting here when it is 100%on topic and appropriate is not in the least civil. So yeah, I have been on topic and yeah, you should mind what you are saying, lest you be bogged down in pointless argument.
