Hey guys.
I assembled all the pieces needed to build a Hecate today, including the blueprints, and have the skills to do it. Everything is at a high sec station with factory lines. However, when I tried to submit the job, it rejected it saying that it couldn't be built at that station. Is this a bug or can tactical destroyers just not be built at stations? I wish it said somewhere in game if this was the case since I spent hours moving all these items around. Some friends and I have built Confessors before at a POS with an advanced small ship assembly array, but I wasn't aware we wouldn't be able to do it at a station.
Hopefully even if this is a dumb questions, it will remain google-able for those who have it in the future. |

According to that, you need a POS in low, null or w-space to build T3's

There are a few requirements here, but not specifically listed for building tech iii destroyers.
For reverse engineering tech iii blue print copies, an experimental laboratory anchored at a POS is needed (or a Caldari outpost in sov null).
Subsystems and apparently the tech cruiser hulls require a subsystem assembly array at a POS (or an Amarr Outpost in soc null).
We manufacture components at a component assembly array, but I am unsure if it is a strict requirement to do so.
We have built confessors at an advanced small ship array, but I still don't know if this is the only place you are intended on being able to do it. As one of the sites in the search points out, you cannot build tech iii cruiser hulls at an advanced medium ship array. |

This is incorrect. All T3 can be built in hisec.
What you cannot do in hisec is hybrid polymer reactions. You can buy that material from the market.
You need a POS with a Subsystem Assembly Array to build T3, and a Component Assembly Array to build T3 components, but T3 components can also be built at a station. An Experimental Laboratory is require to invent T3.
Invention Update In Phoebe wrote:When Phoebe is deployed, Reverse Engineering will no longer exist as a separate activity, with Ancient Relics now falling under the purview of invention.
Experimental Laboratories and Caldari Outposts will still be the only places where Ancient Relics can be invented |

I reported in the "Little things" topic not long ago, blueprints should show their usage restrictions on the Manufacturing/Research/Copy/Invention tab. Would be better than searching ancient"devblogs for this vital information. Maybe CCP thinks it too and will implement it soon. |
