You can add The Blockade lvl 2 to the list. I've run it once, and it yielded about 25-30 parts. |

Originally by: Crystalyne salvage tackles have tobe built just like all theother rigs .. one day son they will start showing up
I have the BPO .. just not the stuff to build them yet.
Good point. I am seeing very few sales of charred micro circuit and very few contaminated nanite compound sales.
Given that you need ~100 of them per BPO run, and prices are about 500k isk a unit you are going to be looking at one very expensive rig.
I reckon the drop tables are borked.

On the Level 2 mission "Avenge a Fallen Comrade," I had the skill Salvaging 3 and used 6 Salvage Units on 20 wrecks of Guristas pirate spacecraft.
While 0 attempts were outright failures, 13 were successful salvage attempts that yielded no materials. However, there were 7 successful salvage attempts which yielded the following items:
3 Scorched Telemetry Processors 3 Malfunctioning Shield Emitters 1 Fried Interface Circuit
Score another one for salvaging pirate wrecks, but deduct a lot of points for a system that is not very much fun and which wastes a lot of time on wrecks with nothing salvageable in the first place. |

The level 4 version of Gurisas Extravaganza dropped salvage from about 60% of the wrecks (84 parts from 164 wrecks). The Guristas Spies (again level 4) netted almost 100% salvage (20 out of 21). It may have been mentioned already but no building, structure, sentry gun or missile battery drops any salvageable parts. Silence the Informant - no salvage.

Lustre...any chance you could edit your post, just putting missions that can be salvaged first, missions that can't after...i.e.
Salvage;
1.... 2.... 3....
No salvage
1.... 2.... 3....
Just might make it easier to read ---

Downing the Slavers 4 - Sanshas
Drops quite nicely from 30% of loot. All the bs's and half the bcs dropped.
Anyone got any nice ship setups for salvaging?

DECEMBER 5 POST PATCH SALVAGE ATTEMPT:
On the Level 2 mission "Smuggler Interception" (which may be a new mission, since I have never run it previously, and since it does not appear on www.eveinfo.com), I had the skill Salvaging 3 and used 6 Salvage Units on 18 wrecks of Sansha pirate spacecraft.
While 0 attempts were outright failures, 11 were successful salvage attempts that yielded no materials. However, there were 7 successful salvage attempts which yielded the following items:
2 Armor Plates 2 Contaminated Nanite Compounds 1 Charred Micro Circuit 1 Defective Current Pump 1 Tripped Power Circuit
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
CONCLUSION:
Score yet another one for salvaging pirate wrecks. However, the patch is a serious disappointment. Other than a cosmetic change that shows which wrecks have been looted, there appears to be no discernible improvement to salvaging overall. The salvage system as-is is still a tedious bore - it took roughly 4 times as long to salvage the wrecks as it did to complete the mission. Moreover, the drop rate for salvage materials is appallingly low. The price of rig BPOs indicates that these are supposed to be common enhancements - as do rig slots on T1 ships - but the drop rate simply won't be able to meet the supply required to make that a reality.
SUGGESTIONS:
1) Increase the salvage material drop rate 2) Create a single command that loots and activates all Salvage Units at one time. This will eliminate about 4-10 mouseclicks for each wreck to be salvaged. 3) Do not spawn a wreck if there is no loot inside and no chance to salvage any materials from it. You never used to spawn empty jet cans after a ship exploded - why spawn a wreck if there's nothing inside it?

I agree with Tuco.
Before Revelations, ships didn't drop empty cans. With Revelations there shouldn't be all these wrecks that have no loot and no salvage.. they are just time sinks.

Guristas Extravaganza level 4 - 50 or so items of salvage, including the bonus stage (I have salvage to level 4)...bear in mind that's only 10 or so items per waypoint, so not exactly wonderful.
I think there's a need to look deeper into this...structures NEVER seem to give salvage...maybe we should start recording what we get from the actual named wreck? Guristas seem to heavily favour Scorched Telemetry Processors and Malfunctioning Shield Emitters...I'm 100% certain there's a racial bias to what you get.
Sounds like it's spreadsheet time again! ---

lvl 4 Storyline "Shipyard Theft" 1 Tractor, One Salvager, Salvaging lvl 1, at least 3 hours start to finish. Used Domi for combat, looting and salvaging. slightly more than a full load of loot ie 650 m3
29 parts of which several were intact versions. Drops were from all types and sizes of ship, Some 1 mill plus bounty BS dropped neither loot or salvage Some Elite frigs dropped both, as did the lowly Catalyst soldiers. Tried the structure wrecks but just kept on cycling with no end so aborted after 5 minutes.
DT now so will list after.

On the Level 2 mission "Seek and Destroy," I had the skill Salvaging 3 and used 6 Salvage Units on 5 wrecks of Guristas pirate spacecraft.
While 0 attempts were outright failures, 4 were successful salvage attempts that yielded no materials. However, there was 1 successful salvage attempts which yielded the following item:
1 Malfunctioning Shield Emitter
Look more and more likely that Guristas spawn more of the Shield-related gear, which makes sense. However, I still object to the idea of successfully salvaging yet receiving no salvage materials. Wrecks should not spawn if there is no chance of successfully salvaging from them. |

On the Level 2 mission "Save a Man's Career," I had the skill Salvaging 3 and used 6 Salvage Units on wrecks of 6 Rogue Drones, 1 Cargo Rig, and 1 Mercenary spacecraft.
While 0 attempts were outright failures, ALL 8 were successful salvage attempts that yielded no materials.
I am inclined to believe that Drones, at least, are still not dropping anything, and that the loot tables are still not fixed. Not good. |

On the Level 2 mission "The Guristas Spies," I had the skill Salvaging 3 and used 6 Salvage Units on 10 wrecks of Guristas pirate spacecraft.
While 0 attempts were outright failures, 6 were successful salvage attempts that yielded no materials. However, there were 4 successful salvage attempts which yielded the following items:
3 Malfunctioning Shield Emitters 3 Scorched Telemetry Processors
This offers yet another confirmation that pirate factions generate at least some salvage, though still a meager amount if salvaging is to be a satisfying newbie profession and if rigs are to ever become the commonplace, newbie-friendly items they appeared to be during the design process. |
