I just launched a job to build some torpedoes, and it told me how much materials would be required in the job window.
However, it did not tell me how many materials I had left for future jobs, which would be immensely helpful.
At the top, it said 'max runs 5,200+', but this doesn't seem to correlate with minerals left. I only have enough minerals for a couple dozen runs.
Is there a way from the industry panel to see how many minerals I have left, so that I can plan for future hauling runs? |

Math.
Specifically, subtraction. There is no display of remaining minerals after a job.
New Eden isn't nice. It isn't friendly. It isn't very hospitiable. Good thing there are people here to shoot in the face.

Is it a BPO (see: "original")? If so, it has infinite runs.
The amount of minerals needed per job is based on the amount of "runs" (see: process to make each unit/unit batch) you set... with "1" run being the minimum (which is listed in the info window of the BPO/BPC itself).
Of course... my knowledge of manufacturing is only cursory. Someone else want to field this question?

Or as stated before you could simply math, formula is easy. Amount before - (amount to be used per run x number of runs to do) = amount left.
Not specifically against your idea, however I am against the incredible code bloat that would happen if every one of these "it is a small change" ideas that were posted actually made it into the game. To prevent this code bloat how would CCP decide which of these ideas should be put into the game? Why yours and not some other idea? So why bother at all math is simple and EVERY computer that can run the EvE client comes with a calculator built into th OS.

If you mouse over the minerals (or other materials) in the industry window before starting the job it will show you total available/required. Your mental calculator should be good enough to figure out if your remaining supply is adequate or if you need to acquire more. |
