Amamake has been a well know pirate haven since '03. Move along nothing to see here!

Edited by: James Lyrus on 01/12/2006 11:08:33 I noticed actually, that the autopilot had 'switched' from 'safe' to 'shortest' on my freighter pilot. And had adjusted the criteria thingy, so it did actually still route through lowsec even on the 'safe' setting.
I do still find it amusing that of all the people shouting 'adapt or quit' it's invariably the pirates that adapt first. Hats off to Sniggerdly, for doing what they do so well.

Ever consider buying a few BPO's of the new BS's and BC's and producing them in Amamake for just over cost price? Lure more....clients...into the system?
Or rigs, you could probably corner the market down there with all the wrecks.
Bonus: If you fry the 'ceptor trying to run a load of rigs up to Rens, you get to scoop em and sell them on, again.

The Systems a major route into Heimatar and the Rens system so theres lots of traffic, meaning lots of targets for them.

Thank you for the warning, I will be sure to keep my eyes peeled for any maple syrup and cream covered ships in my vicinity.

You forgot Culture Club.

Amamake? Camped?
arent the two words synominous... it's been camped ever since I was around the area, and that was oh, mid 2004, and it was certainly camped before I shifted over that direction.
and newbs singing Culture Club in local? ****. making people sing/suffer 80's cheese could be tempting to send an application to snigg :)

Well I have been trying just that with a hurricane. As for the wreaks and Riggs parts. Riggs take alot of parts and strangely enough we don't get as many as you might think. I am betting rigs are going to start going for the 100s of millions in a few weeks. Billions for ships with a good rig fitting.

pod or sing? pod or post?
sounds like fun, but after ten minutes and the 50th pod it might get tedious just processing them all and the forums would be ruined for 3 pages

OMG Amamake has pirates! OH NOES.
Its really gone down hill that system, I remember back in the distant past of 2003 that Amamake was a pleasant system where everyone felt safe and secure. How times have changed

This thread proves that Eve piracy will last for a long time. Because no matter how famous Amamake is , no matter how trivially easy it is to avoid , clueless masses will keep dying here , in an everflowing fountain of loot

they don't even need to buy the bpos, they scored a set of the new BCs on patch day.

Amamake - hohoho, that name brings back some noob memories.
I had spent many months mining and training for HAC when I decided to move base towards Yulai and went through that system in an Iteron V crammed full with what I had gathered during that time, including my 1st HAC ever (a Deimos) which I even couldnt fly at the time.
A big cuddly snig camp was waiting for me on the other side.
Now, I had been running mins/ore over Amamake for several days prior to attempting this so I was lured into feeling confident about the route.
Ignorance taught me a good lesson indeed.

Oh, and plus, Revelations reset the default autopilot position to
"go whereever you like dead quick with no concern for saefty"
So many people will recently have been caught out by that. I myself was only 2 jumps away from Amamake in a hauler with several billion in it before i realised.
