Mega jumps through gate into a 'dictor bubble. He was also webbed and scrammed. At 25% structure he logs. Yep, it was a pathetic Goon.
I thought Revelations was addressing this?

Eh? What?
If he logged at 25% you should have 20 minutes to kill off the remaining sliver of data cables. - EVE is sick. |

Nope, they log when they jump in and see a dictor bubble. You get 60 seconds to kill them and then they vanish without even having to speed up to warp. Had a RUS guy do this on me yesterday, no bubble just 2 ceptors and a BS, only had time to get through his shields, then pop, vanished.
One of the (few :P) disadvantages of missiles, by the time the first salvo gets there, his 60 second logoffski timer has lost a big chunk of it, you only get a few volleys actually into him before he vanishes.
Then they do the quick logon logoff to appear 100,000km from the gate, so you dont get a second shot at them. I was sure at least this part was an exploit, so petitioned it, but GMs say no.

I jumped through a gate, all i saw was a white screen, then a bubble then a CTD on logging back in, I was in a pod.
Even though I was disconnected, they still got my merlin, so something must be working.
If this isnt what your talking about, sorry im new

So the general rule now is that a ship stays in space for 60 seconds if you do a logoffski?

Merlin doesnt have the HPs to pull the logoffski. Its only a problem when they do it with larger ships. BS take longer than 45 seconds to kill, esp with new HP buff. Merlins take about 12 seconds to kill.

no, it hasent changed, if you scramble them they will remain for 60 seconds, scrambled.
if they are not scrambled, they warp off, and then disaper 60 seconds later.
don't worrey, changes are coming soon(tm) --- (.)(.) These are boobs. No need to copy and paste them into your sig, they have already gained world domination. Sorry Bunny. |

A touch more than that it seems. It was 61 seconds between the first message of one of us scramming him, and the last time I shot him before he vanished under my guns. So add in locktime plus module activation time plus time to get in range of 4 seconds or so? Makes it about 65 seconds from time of appearance to vanish.

I guess I'm only really noticing this now due to the HP increase whereas before a BS was poppable solo (with frig support). Wasn't aware that the 60 second rule applied even before Kali.
However, I was led to believe that with Kali it was at least going to be simply impossible to logoffski in a bubble......

Engage Goons or RA 3 times in the next 24 hours and you'll get logoffski goodness in at least one engagement. Goons know two things - blob up or logoffski. Does me nut in.

If you're in combat situation you simply shouldn't be allowed to quit the game. No 60 second rule, no 120 second rule. It really destroys PVP and is just cowardly. I've sat there and died when I could have logged but I have honour and won't use a loophole to save my skin after I made I made dumb error in judgement.
Playing the game correctly and not doing "whatever it takes" to win simply separates the good guys from the bad guys.

What is this word? Logginoffski? I looked it up, could not find it. The best translation offered is a rare and dangerous sport.
The use of a log (fresh cut tree) to travel down a snow covered slope. Its polish by the way. Outlawed in most countries due to the extremem danger of the log rolling over while going down hill.
Now useing this word in a on-line game such as Eve-online, well I fail to see the meaning of it. Maybe when we get planets and snow, are we going to be able to do this?
Why not use proper phrase such as, Log-off, or false CTD?

Because it's fun beeing racist and connecting this pretty lame "tactic" to eastern european people by using the suffix "-ski".
Is it Logoffska when girls do it btw?

Im sorry but if i jumped through a gate and into a bubble first thing I would do is log off, takes to damn long to make the money to buy BS's and fit them to let some pirate campers blow it up for sport while i sit there and watch.

I could go into all the reasons why that argument just doesn't fly, but since it's already been done to death, and you obviously you don't care about any of it, I'll just call you a coward. A lazy coward, at that. ---------------------------- "Unshrink you?! the ctrl+q while under cloak at jumpin and then subsequently log back in with alt has gotten even worse after the patch due to the hitpoint boost and damage nerf on ships.
its just plain silly that CCP dont fix this ASAP!
