You should just apply for a refund, or a partial one - nod peaceably like civilized parties - and check back later when the service or product is updated.
I can't think of one responsible retailer or business that bills for a product that doesn't work, except lawyers.
Even then, it's only the lawyers that don't bank on returning customers.

also considering the level of people who are reporting this problem there is no post on the front page of eve homepage that is reassuring people about what is happening! you have to dig through and find a page regarding the deployment of REV's
on a seperate note that announcement you linked says its a problem with dual core processors, thats not true as if you have a read through the forums regarding this issue you will find a load of people who are not running dual core setups who are having the same problem.
lets be honest here if it was just a direct X problem we would have a statement saying "look we are hot on the heels of this give us a day or two to fix" And not "ok so were not going to admit that this is a deeper issue because we will look bad"
You realize it takes time to wade through a couple of hundred thousands lines of code to find that specific problem?
Try and debug a program of 1000 lines, that's already quite difficult.

Been building computers for ages and its always worked like a charm for me on stability regardless if its games or spreadsheets or some over the top CAD proggy.. And really.. for the 400% markup on the new tech it almost always is only giving you a few measly percent of a performance gain for that steep investment.. Thats why I chuckle softly to myself whenever I read threads like these and they admit to having some overpriced overteched playtoy and wonder why stuff acts wierd on it.. So best thing to do might be to shelve that Alienware for about 6 months and then break it back out when the software catches up to the hardware.. KALI:Revelations.. Ive had this problem for the last 2 weeks. Every other jump I have CTD'd. Yes its annoying, but its not exactly 'Wtf omfg ccp sux' annoying. Seriously, just wait until they apply a hotfix and get over it. ---

Originally by: Syrias as of 19th december (when my next billing period is due) i am cancelling my eve subsciption
i implore anyone who is having the gate station etc Crash to Desktop problems to join me and cancel your sub. after all its easy enough to re-sub IF they decide to take notice of a large wedge of their customers who are currently STUCK in a loop of client crashes and unplayable conditions,
of course once this problem is solved i shall resubscribe but it seems as though there is not even a comment from the devs apart from the "yeah we know but we ain't telling you when we are fixing it!"
and read the other forums because its not just Dual core and its not just AMD which are theories which have been banded about!
so please join Ze revolution, afterall theres sod all else you can do on eve at the moment!
I'll join you !!
I won't renew my subscription when it ends, but i will have to wait for that till september 2007
