AFAIK, installation cost for manufacturing is estimated_value_of_input_materials * system_cost_index * NPC_station_tax.
For a test, I tried to build a Yacht: http://i.imgur.com/obMHeHW.jpg http://i.imgur.com/u14l59m.jpg
12045796.00 * 0.0258 * 1.1 = 341859.69, but in game I see 230316.00
Something is not right here. Can anyone explain me, what is going on ?
Thanks in advance. |

CCP uses a moving average (also for insurance calculation). I don't know the formula but the estimate you see for material cost will not be the same unless the price for all materials has been stable for the past few months. Mineral prices have not been stable - some have risen significantly which probably accounts for the difference. In this case the averaging is working in your favor. |

I do the calcs and put the numbers I used in a tool tip on the usage label in iph (link below) if you want to check.

The prices used for job costs are available from https://public-crest.eveonline.com/market/prices/ where they are the adjusted price.
The cost is also based off the ME 0, with no modifiers, blueprint. It's then multipled by 0.02 if it's a research job, then by another multiplier depending on the level it's being researched to (They're in a dev blog). Then the cost index (from https://public-crest.eveonline.com/industry/systems/ ) is multipled in. Finally, the facility tax is multiplied in (10% in a npc station. so 1.1)
Be aware those two crest resources are relatively large, so may break some tools.
