Back during Exodus, when the T2C market was growing, mission runners would regularly get piles of odds and ends that they had no idea what to do with. Antimatter generator units and thermonuclear triggers. That lasted up until it was determined that mission runners were driving the starbase owners out of business, but assisted in jump-started the T2 market.
Now we have a similar situation, where we have a pile of new blueprints that require specialized components that are still extremely rare with the small number of pilots who are actively able to collect them, and fewer still are being actively traded. I propose that, for a period of two or three weeks, the various salvagable components are seeded as agent rewards or offers (but not both!) to jump-start the rig manufacturing businesses. There are already precedents for the value of the LP, which would allow the dev team to provide a defacto "base NPC price" for supplying the materials.
And with the number of mission runners in the 'verse, the supply of components would quickly establish itself for anyone interested in acquiring those parts.
That, and I'm tired of offers for eight +1 implants. ----------------------------------

speaking as one of the few salvage operators around I have to say that it would be a positive change. Especialy due to the fact that the circuit salvage items drop so rarely and yet many BPOs use 200 of the suckers...
To make the point a little clearer, I salvaged an entire Guristas Extraviganza lvl 4 and didnt get one in all six levels (bonus included).
I sure hope the patch Tuesday does more than just prove I wasted my time training survey 5.

Thats because mission drops, including salvaging, were nerfed, wich is good. Go rat in 0.0.

Been there, done that, watched the parts come in slowly. Even with everyone pounding pavement on parts, the market for them is unbalanced and borked.
I'm not saying "have rig parts come from mission runners for the next year", I'm suggesting for *two weeks*. Fourteen days. Just long enough to get a pile for everyone to burn.
While it may set some precedents early on, the agent-granted supplies would vanish (fast) and normal drop rates will control market forces. Existing data collection from players have demonstrated that certain holes need to be plugged if rigs are going to be available outside contracts in the next month. ----------------------------------
