Edited by: Shal''tin on 04/12/2006 02:45:16 ok over the past hour or so i was playing with the EVE Tracking Guide and i wanted to see what the difference from a High end T1, in this case the 425mm prototype I gauss gun and i compared it to the 425mm railgun II. i was looking at the states and there both the same, and i mean there exact, right down to the tracking speed. so my question is, what is the use getting the T2 when the high end T1 is as good?
if you want to check the difference here are the links 425mm Railgun II 425mm prototype i gauss gun

Plus the spec skills don't apply to T1 weapons.
If you're on IE, pretend this is transparent while you get a better browser. |

Plus T2 can be built and so should be in greater circulation. I say should but the BPO lottery and the introduction of the Rokh will have 'solved' this.

Yeah, that's basically it. In my pending guide for Caldari ships, I hit all three of those issues. Quote: What makes tech two guns worth using over prototype gauss guns is the fact that they are manufacturable and therefore cheaper, and they are also capable of using the tech two ammunitions: Spike and Javelin. They also get +2% damage per level of the correct Railgun Specialization skill, which applies ONLY to tech two railguns.
And in case you didn't guess, that's a clip from the railguns section, hence the specific ammoes and skill.

Really?
Yes... that is the case with all Tech 2 weapons. Consider:
Originally by: Eve Online Specialist training in the operation of advanced large blasters. 2% Bonus per skill level to the damage of large turrets requiring Large Blaster Specialization.
Originally by: Eve Online Specialist training in the operation of advanced cruise missile launchers. 2% bonus per level to the rate of fire of modules requiring Cruise Missile Specialization.
It's great playing Caldari-online, isn't it?
This IS my main! I just did a portrait swap... |
