I have lived in Wormholes since the beginning.
I now see it to be a normal thing to drop small towers on every moon that your not using so intruders can't Come in and set a staging tower up un noticed.
These towers are a dead stick and I think there should be changes to this tactic. I believe there should be a time period the towers either disapeer if not fueld and used or they automatically Un anchore and becomes free game for whoever decides to scoop them up.
I think the same should for the defences and hardeners as well.
Maybe look at a 72 hr time period ?
If it's a tower with ship maintenance arrays or corporate hanger arrays with items still in them Then they will need to be destroyed. Guns with ammo will be able to be accessed to loot Then unachored if the tower is dead for the 72 hr time period.
Another option could allow these towers to be hacked and become your tower to do as you please. One hacked the original owner won't know they lost the tower unless they physically check it.
I don't mine anymore but I still believe ore sites should be signatures needed to be scanned down. Why does gas sites need to Be scanned but not ore?

This comes up roughly once every 3-6 months and it's a pointless discussion every time. Especially now that POSs are being entirely replaced...

Just wait until new Pos's are out and this will no longer be an issue.

valid game mechanic is valid.
depending on how big the group is, all your after is some kind of warning that some things up. that 24 hour coverage is pretty hard to get..
that said theres a few systems that have as few as 2 moons. Ive never checked to see which had the most moons, all i know is that when we where bigger we never had enough.
if you dont like towers atm your not going to like the new structures when they come out.
particularly the loot drop mechanics and lack there of. |

Just been having this debate with Nullarbor on slack, seems they are pretty sold on safe items for all.
So you will never lose a ship or module in a siege if you can just wait a while until the attackers leave and don't warp to your personal wreck as was the first design they thought of.
So it will be structures with no automated weapons but you won't lose anything when your structure is destroyed.
But well, think we will have to just wait and hope it isn't the case when the devblog comes out.

Hmm that sounds interesting.
I'm sure lazer hawks and others who rage roll and evict people won't like that mechanic at all
No loot from destroying them. Only issues I see is if those corps have a backup in a corporate hanger assuming they will allow them to be stored in them. If so then you get attacked lose your tower then wait for them to leave.
Warp to your loot and get your tower and drop a new one and already have all your loot, ships ect |

The always safe for the newstructure sounds terrible . As is the fact that you will be able to anchor them everywhere. This makes us lose lots of flavor between the spaces.
But to the original poster, this has been sudgested mupliple times. Other same sugestions were hacking them to take em over, so you could unachor them and sell them.
No local in null sec would fix everything!
Fleet warp proposal = the rubix cube is back into eve especialy the second part of the saying.
Wh players need to adapt, null sec players get the rules changed.

In my opinion, by making it to where things don't blow up and you lose items/ships from the pos being destroyed.
I think it will hurt the market for profits because if less things are destroyed then obviously less need for those items. It could lower some market items but then again how many poses are destroyed? And currently are there enough being destroyed to really have much of an affect at all?
No local in nullsec has also been brought up.
Could be interesting if they made no local in null unless you have some type of structure that scans ships entering systems that shows them in local. But in npc space local will always excest. |

Not much point in worrying untill devblog on them is out. Nullarbor says Tue/Wed for that.
I am sure there will be much raging and rioting after that though when the implications for WH's has been forgotten yet again...

not sure how effective the aoe missiles are but I see a future in dropping them on your statics and brawling hostiles at zero as being a thing. or at least using them as a decloak device of choice.
That potential 100km decloak radius :P also aoe missiles and cap sized nuets.
