I am sure this has been covered hundreds of times but I did not see the answer on this forum. (A search of FPS brings up hundreds of posts.)
Yesterday I dropped into a swarm of Serpentis and there were probably a hundred flying around. My FPS dropped tremendously of course. If I purchased a decent graphics card would this improve the EVE play or does the fight get resolved on a server somewhere and there is nothing short of upgrading my ISP feed?
The game was not playable with the presentation. I twas very choppy and it affected my ability to fight back. Under normal conditions, as in fewer sprites attacking, there is no problem. |

Sorry to hear about your FPS issues, I see that you're running Windows 10, try running the launcher as an administrator (Right click on the launcher and select 'Run as Administrator') and see if that brings any better results.
Anything visual on your screen is down to your machine rendering the image so any frame rate drop would be coming from your hardware, after looking at your system specs my suggestion would be to lower your graphical settings to see if that improves things. Hopefully one of the two suggestions I've made will help increase your frame rate :)

Thank you for replying but I didn't have any problems till the number of enemy objects went so high. I will lower my settings (already running as admin) but I really wanted to know if I installed a decent graphics card, would I not have this problem. If the display gets rendered at my local level, I would think that a decent GPU would improve the results.
Yes? |

Looking at your specs, your CPU should be fine for our recommended specs but its definitely your graphics card that is bottle necking your experience. I would suggest upgrading to a full card, the Nvidia 900 series is quite popular at the moment but a Nvidia 560ti should put you at our recommended spec which should be enough to handle the enemy count you have described.
As with any potential upgrade, I would recommend doing some research and making sure that your system can handle any hardware you're about to put into it.
