So you don't even fly any ships yet. I hate to brake it to you but you should train spaceship command, Caldari Frigate 3, Caldari Destroyer 3, Caldari Cruiser 3 and Caldari Battlecruiser 3 and fly a Drake.
And I hate to be rude but if you cannot put modules into 9-15 slots that doesn't get your ship killed you should really consider switching your corporation to a more helpful one.

Ignore above. She's ********.
Can you post more of your skills? Eve board or whatever that just tells us all your skills. Looks like youre right on track to fly a strong Gila or Vexor and that's more than enough to do almost all null sec belt rats. |

The character you linked has all the prerequisites to fly a Loki except Minmatar Cruiser V and that is the path I recommend. Minmatar heavy assault cruisers would do the job but are a longer train. |

Man, I would not recommend the Loki because you can't even use T2 guns yet. You're also a pretty new pilot so I imagine a Loki would be an expensive loss if it came around to that. The only weapon system you have trained to T2 is drones so I would focus on a ship that can do that. Which is a shame because you also fly Minmatar ships which don't really get a drone bonus... Your missiles skills are also lacking so you're not in the best position there either.
Alright lets get down to it. As a Minmatar pilot with low skills you're not looking at too many options. Also it helps to note that what you fly does depend on where you fly it so for example the below rupture fit would work in Serpentis space hence active tank, and kin/therm defenses. (Please note I dont know much about which ammo type to use) That being said this basic rupture fit shouldn't have trouble with most belt rats though you certainly won't be taking down any officers with it.
[Rupture, Rupture fit]
Medium Armor Repairer II Medium Armor Repairer II Armor Kinetic Hardener II Armor Kinetic Hardener II Armor Thermic Hardener II
Cap Recharger II Cap Recharger II Cap Recharger II 10MN Monopropellant Enduring Afterburner
425mm Medium Prototype Automatic Cannon, Fusion M 425mm Medium Prototype Automatic Cannon, Fusion M 425mm Medium Prototype Automatic Cannon, Fusion M 425mm Medium Prototype Automatic Cannon, Fusion M Responsive Auto-Targeting System I
Medium Capacitor Control Circuit I Medium Capacitor Control Circuit I Medium Capacitor Control Circuit I
Hobgoblin II x5
I could give you some Gallente fits as well though you would have to train into the ships and focus solely on drones since you don't have hybrid turret skills. Let me know. That being said the rupture posted with your skills will probably get a good 200-220 dps and over 300dps tank which should be acceptable for most null sec belt rat situations.
TIP: Shoot the guys who warp scram/ warp disrupt you first so you could always warp away to saftey! |

Thanks a lot for the help but I'm already working towards a speedy vni fit that was recommended to me on reddit, it shouldn't take more than a day to train and I've already trained half the skills so I'll go with that.

the 100mn AB Vexor Navy Issue using appropriate faction heavy drones can do 0.0 hubs with ease. It may not be the fastest ISK/hour, but it's safe and consistent.
High: Drone Link Augmentor. Mids: 100MN AB, 2x Large Shield Extender, 1x Drone Navigation Computer Lows: 4x Drone Damage Amps, 2x Power Diagnostic Systems.
Rigs: You'll need to check the damage profile of your rats and tailor accordingly.
Warp in, pick a bunker and orbit at 30km, AB on, drop MTU, kill stuff.

Rush Caldari Cruiser and get a Gila. You're having all the skills it takes, except for Cal Cruiser. Then pick up some shield skills, light missiles, and you'll be growing into a powerful ship. Also, Gila is capable of beating any Blood Officer, just in case you find one some day. |

Alright you're on the right track but you need help getting there.
Dread Guristas? Wtf. Close though. Use Pithum C-Types EM Ward and Pithum B-Type Thermic ward. They're better than T2 and pretty cheap. (relatively) Second of all you DON'T to use active hardeners on a passive ship in general since the Shield Power Relays will kill your cap regen and leave you unable to tank. You can sometimes get away with this but NOT AGAINST BLOOD RAIDERS because they will neut you. Then your cap will not regen so you will not be able to activate your Shield Hardeners and you will be in bad news bears country really quick.
Also you need to understand this core concept of the gila. Its a modular fit ship. That means that you should have a mobile depot and REFIT ON THE FLY DURING THE ENGAGEMENT. So when the dps incomming is too high drop the DDA's and put in 3 more Shield power relays. DPS is low? Drop the Shield power relays and put in DDAs. What happens when you afterburner around? You're away from your mobile depot and can't refit. This kills the time you can run these sites in since you can't refit as fast.
ONTO THE NEXT POINT. You'll also want to drop the afterburner for another Large Shield Extender. Most of the time things won't be too far away. . It has a crazy tank without it but you're neutering it by taking away a precious mid slot. THAT BEING SAID you are double ****** trying to use your afterburner while in blood raiders space since they neut you out, stop you from using your afterburner and your tank will kill your cap (As well as their neuts) so you won't be regenerating it back to use your afterburner any time soon. Makes sense? If you warp to a site with an acceleration gate you can always just refit to a MWD to burn over there. (Modular fitting is beautiful right?) The point of the GILA is not to speed tank
BTW if you really wanted to go bling and maximize your tank trade out the Large Shield Extender II's for Caldari Navy Large Shield Extenders.
Attached below is a great fit that you can use for the Gila. Please note the low slots are currently fit for full tank you'll want to change these out to DDA (Drone Damage Amplifiers) as needed.

God damn I'm amazing. Okay this seems pretty interesting so the plan is to always have a mobile depot deployed and orbit it, or move around and return to the mtu as needed? (btw thanks a lot for the extensive explanation) |

Yeah. That's basically the plan. Warp in Drop Mobile Tractor Unit (As Needed eg. you dont have to do it in asteroid belts), Drop a Mobile depot. Orbit it at 1000 and fire away (Watch local and D-Scan as well so other players don't gank you.) |

Yeah, I have my doubts..
OP, those drones will get killed so quickly that your head will spin. I wouldn't advise flying a pirate ship with low skillpoints. But he is from EVE-U so he almost knows best.
The reason for flying a Drake for pve is that she is very forgiving and not super expensive in case you get ganked. Happens sometimes in low and nullsec.
A Gila is just a gank magnet and a heavy loss. When you are longer in the game you can still fly one but by then you know more to keep yourself safe.

Those drones will not get killed so quickly. And if they do than you have enough space to replace them since you only use 2 at a time. Also did you forget that you're flying a gila? Your drones will have an enormous amount of hitpoints. Look at his skills being a drone pilot I'm sure he knows to pull them in quickly and to target guys that have stasis webifiers first.
Is a Drake a good ship? Yeah but it has nowhere the versatility of a Gila and is just as much of a gank magnet. You are correct in that it is an expensive loss but 3-4 days of null sec anoms/sigs/and ratting in a gila and you will be able to afford to buy another one no problem.
Should a pilot his age and experience grab a gila and go to Nullsec? No I don't think so. I think he should start out with something cheaper like a Vexor or a VNI (Honestly even a drake but Im not the biggest fan of that idea since he doesn't have missile skills) when he gains some experience and is comfortable doing the null sec care bear deed he should upgrade to the gila. After that you and your skills are on a perfect route to the RattleSnake which i would argue is one of the best ships for "Behind Enemy Lines" Ratting and general PVE mischief.
Though if he is all balls to the wall and feels like he's ready for it I would say jump right into the Gila and go to town, that's what I did. Expensive lesson to learn but I only had to learn to watch local and D-Scan once! |

I would stay away from anomalies like Heavens, Sanctums and Forlon / Forsaken Hubs and in some cases even Forlon / Forsaken Rally Points.
And you want to move a lot, best use and afterburner, which doesn't give much speed but it doesn't increaee your signature radius.
Drones and or missiles are usually best against Sanshas since they will use tracking disruptors a lot. Be careful with your drones since in the easiert anomalies there will be more smaller ships to shoot down and they will eat drones like candy.
Another reason why the Ishtar is all the rage at the moment. I am not sure if a 100nm afterburner Vexor Navy Issue is cap stable or not and it will be very difficult to fly at first.
If you decide you take the Drake you need to find a celestial which you can orbit (orbit at current distance) and fire away. Arbelest heavy missiles launchers should be just fine and if you group your 6 launchers into groups of 2x3 launchers you can use Mjolnir FOF heavy missiles and start shooting, reload, rinse, repeat.
Don't let the shields drop below 24%
