They where both older players than me and i killed them both. As there was a kill mail bug i couldsee what they had fitted but from the loot i got T2 guns and cap rechargers so ui geuss the rest was prob T2.
o and btw i can keep my 2 med reps and hardners going
1 - very bad setup 2 - very stupid players for not killing you're drones with they're drones and staying out of range. -----

i'm sorry what?? battleships can target you from alot larger distance than 12-15km!!!

Not when hit by RSDs that the Myrmidon is fielding. Duh.

A clever Myrmidon pilot should be able to kill ANY battleship out there, unless he kits it out similar to a Brutix. I spent almost all of the weekend roaming around with that ship, and not a single BS I engaged got me bellow 50% shields...and I'm not even shieldtanking
Setup: rigged for speed ftw! ________________________________________________

6x 200mm railgun II with antimatter
10mn AB II Cap booster 3x RSD
MAR II 2x eanm II DCU tracking enhancer 2x MFS II
Gang ship, railguns so you don't have to move around much. 3x RSD's will lock down anything to below 15km unless they are sensor boosting with multiple units. change out the ammo to hit at different ranges. Personally I'd pack 5x heavy drones and rely on friendlies for anti tackling, or perhaps 5x sentries. I don't have much experience with them, but in a gang fight where the battlefield can be spread out over a small area (30 or so km) they might be useful? - - -

10mn AB Warp Disrupter 3x Dampeners II
2x Medium Armor Rep II 2x EAN II 1x Damage Control 1x Explosive Hardener
5x Heavies.
Haven't even tested if this fits, or tested this setup at all, nor have I flown a Myrm yet. The theory is that with 3 dampeners your target is going to need to be within 10KM of you. Attacking your drones isn't really an option considering it will take them too long to target them but if they are going for your drones simply bring them back to your drone bay when you anticipate they are locking onto them. Evidently they will get the idea and focus on your solely in which case if they can't beat your duel-rep tank before your heavies beat their tank they die.

I came up with a very similar setup. Only diff is the lows. I wouldn't put a dual rep tank on that thing without a cap booster, so 3x hardeners, 1x rep, and 2x eanm. With decent skills resists are 76em, 76ex, 82kin, 82thm.

This set-up works well:
Hi: 4x Medium NOS (Best Named or T2) 2x T2 Light Neutron Blasters w/Void S
Med: 1x T2 10MN AB 1x 20KM Warp Srcam 2x Medium Cap Boosters w/800 1x Web or Tracking Disruptor or Damp (Whatever You Prefer) Best Named or T2)
Low: 1x Damage Control (Best Named or T2) 3x Armor Hardners (Ken/Therm/Exp) Best named or T2) 2x T2 Medium Armor Rep's.
Drones: 5x Heavy Combat Drones (T2 Works really nice).
The small turrets for removing drones with the help of the web & to threaten frig hull'd ships. - And then to deal extra damage to your main target. AB will get you in NOS'ing range eventually, (With the help of a Faction Web :P), untill then the cap boosters can help you with your tank that can pretty much hold anything back depending on your skills. ('Dmg Type' Armor Compensation, For example).
T2 heavy Drones will deal out the damage and as long as you keep an eye on them and keep cycling the scoop and engage target method, you can pretty much take on and kill BattleShips in this.

Rigged fitting -
1 10% Powergrid rig 1 nanobot accelerator (10% to rep bonus) 1 10% to ECM strength Rig.
3x Nuetron Blaster II's (or whichever autocannons) 1x Best Medium Energy Neutraliser 2x Medium Deminishing Nos
10mn Afterburner II Medium Electrochemical Cap Injector (800) Web Scram ECM mutlispec II
MAR II 3x Active Hardeners II 1x EANM II DCU II
2x Orgre II 5x Hammerhead II 5x Warrior II
Jams everyother battlecruisers everyother cycle, always launch your lightest drones first to get rid of his, the tank isn't amazing, but you have enough cap to use your energy neutraliser. Sig removed lacks EVE content, email [email protected] if you have any questions - Xorus |

Not giving an exact fitting here but some thoughts.
Think, 3 remote sensor damps and enough speed to keep out of their lock range. No need for a big tank as they cant lock you, if you get attacked by multiple opponents fly away. Guns that can hit about 20km, rails or autocannons?
Basicly, stay within 20km of the damped enemy and wear him down with your guns and drones.

High slots: 4 x medium nosferatu of choice 2 x Tech 2 blasters
Middle slots: 1 x 10mn Microwarp drive 1 x Stasis webifier of choice 1 x Warp disruptor 1 x Induced multispectral 1 x eutectic capacitator recharger
Low slots: 2 x Medium t2 armor repairs 2 x Power diagnostics t2 1 x N-type adaptive energized 1 x Warp core stab.
7 x hammerhead 2 x berserker
Can handle pretty much damage and if drone skills are good the target is gone rather quickly, have tried it on new Battle cruisers and won. dont know about bigger ships. good luck

Edited by: Mighty Baz on 08/01/2007 07:34:33 Some general hits, if you use heavy drons you remember that your range of combat is moreless 50km...so drons kill everything good enough than. In this case you should fit short range guns like blasters (antimatter and iridium )or prjectiles (fusion?) , because of myrmidon doesnt have any guns bonus. Otherwise I suggest fit as follows:
Hi Slots: ------------- 4x Heavy Electron Blaster II or modal 2x E50 Prototype Energy Vampire (nice supprise for tackler's bustards as well)
Medium Slots: -------------- 1x 10MN MicroWarpdrive II (or named)It has to be used if you wanna pick your victim up quickly or run away as well 1x Sensor Booster II (anti-dampner) 1x Medium Electrochemical Capacitor Booster I [2xCap Booster 400] - who likes lost cap before final blow 1x Faint Warp Prohibitor I (20km range is ok) 1x X5 Prototype I Engine Enervator (i dont like ceptors
Low Slots: ------------
2x Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II (faction will be better than) 1x Explosive Hardener II 1x Armor Kinetic Hardener II 1x Armor Thermic Hardener II 1x Medium Armor Repairer II (good bonus 7,5% per lvl)
rigs: I consider 2 options * repair bonus like aux nano pump x3 * dmg bonus 2x plus tracking
maybe this fit is not perfect but very hard for everybody to beat
have a nice hunting

Edited by: steveid on 08/01/2007 10:51:04 i have just got one and currently use ..
3 ion blasters II 3 medium nos (named or t2) 3 shield extender II's 1 20km scram 1 invul field 6 shield relays
drones of choice (i use ogre 2's)
this gives you a damn good passive recharge rate, pretty good resists and around 13k shields. At close range you should maul anything HAC sized or lower due to the nos taking them outa the game. Bs's should be able to be tanked long enough, but as with all setups its not a i-win button. There will be cases you'll die, vagas ecm ships etc. Good thing bout this is that you can pve (in some areas) with it as well without changing setup.
p.s. the 15% shield rig goes nice with this

1 20km scrambler 2 sensor dampener 2 cap recharger
1 t2 medium repairer 1 1600mm tungsten plate 3 t2 EANM 1 damage control.
A fun setup for solo or gang work.

Edited by: Minnow maught on 08/01/2007 12:43:55 Myrmidon Alpha Strike Setup - Use only as part of a gang
Highs 6x200mm Rail II
Mids 2xSensor Booster II 1xTracking Computer 1xDrone Tracking Thingy 1xAfterburner or tracking disruptor or cap injector
Lows 1-2MAR II (or accomodation for fitting) 3-4 Hardners / Plate
5xSentry Drone (Garde 1)
You can modify the setup to go more gank (250mm and mag stabs) or more tank (dual rep, cap injector). Supplies very nice alpha (especially with 250mm + mag stabs). At level 4 Sentry Drones and DI5 you get wreckings around 850 (against zero res). At level 5 this should be 890, with a Sentry drone damage rig (when they work !!!), this should be 980. With 5 of those babies, thats a 'potential' alpha of 4900 damage + whatever your rails manage to do.
The other nice thing with this is that sentry drones are a LOT cheaper than T2 Heavies.
Strangely I think that the Myrmidon probably has the potential for the highest Alpha of all the BC, even when it's not a Gallente trait.

Edited by: Dagam on 10/01/2007 16:48:42 I use this for solo PvP.
HIGH 6x Heavy Electron II (Void)
MID MWD, Web, 20km warp disruptor 2x Medium Electrochemical Cap Injector -- yes two injectors. I felt another injector would do more good than a single EW such as jam or damp. It serves as a sort of anti-nos module. Hopefully this will never die with cap charges left in cargo bay.
LOW 2x Med Armor Rep II 3x Active Hardeners (my armor compensation isn't that good) Damage Control
DRONE BAY 4 Ogres, with 2 mediums and a light as backup
If you have grid/cpu left over, swap the electrons for ions to make a snug fit. I usually swap one ion in and get grid/cpu usage to 99+%.
