Last night durring a hard lvl 4 mission I was running, an unknown and uninvited pilot warped in to my deadspace pocket and started salvaging wrecks that contained no loot. At first I thought he was looting all my wrecks, but then I realized that he was not blinking and was not getting agro.
I petitioned this character under harassment, but, as I now know, there is nothing currently wrong with what this indevidual did.
I would like to formally request one of two changes:
a. Characters are flagged for looting / salvaging wrecks in hi-sec space. b. Characters are unable to find wrecks in deadspace areas.
I think my second suggestion is very fair. With this change integrated, a pilot would be able to run a lvl 4 mission and then salvage / loot after like is the normal practice. However, If the pilot running the mission ends the mission before cleaning up the wrecks / loot, then those wrecks would then be scanable.
I strongly disaprove of people who take what isnt theirs. With Ore Thiefs (for example) I can respond with actions (as they are "looting" a can of mine) however, there is currently no action I can take against uninvited people salvaging my wrecks while I'm in an active deadspace arena.
Thank You, /Siggy |

I was ganged and with sig when this event occured. There is 100% no doubt this person was salvaging wrecks without getting flagged as we convo'd in local about it. It seems a bit unfair our only option would have been to initiate a suicide gank, take the standings hit and have the federales show up.

I agree with Sigam on this one, there is nothing more annoying than watching someone fly off with what you have worked for, and knowing there is nothing you can do but sit and watch... |

My experience has been that i flag up for taking loot from a wreck but not from salvaging a wreck... you can't salvage unless there is no loot.
So if he wasn't flagging then he either was salvaging wrecks that had no drops or this is a bug. (I've not done this in deadspace only in belts)
just thought.... im assuming i flag as i get an agression count down... but what if im not actually flagging... have to look into this.

well, I was assured (with the petition I filed) that there was no foul play in the logs. He salvaged only what had no loot in it. I honestly dont see a difference in if it had loot or not, he was stealing my property. I filally shot all the wrecks out from under him so he would get nothing.
You know, if the guy had asked, I very well might have let him salvage the wrecks, I'm a nice guy. I just absolutely hate it when someone just goes in with no invite to my lvl 4 mission in deadspace in hi-sec ... and I can't do anything about it. Something has to change here...

is there any way I can get an official dev responce to this complaint?
Is there anything in the works that addresses this issue? |

They are going to make it harder to scan out mission runners again (they have to really - low sec mission running has basically stopped and high sec is being greifed a lot).
